I have been coming here for many many years, about 20! The lunch special prices and nice amount of food they served and taste kept me coming back for more. I'd say about 5 years ago it started to go south. I'd still meet up with friends here for lunch for sentinel times as a long term customer but each experience gets worse and worse. I'm branching out to other , better quality places. They used to put ample amounts peanuts on the Kung Pao chicken, I literally counted 4 and it isn't the first time, actually about 5-6 yrs of hmm, something different here !! So I addressed this to the waitress, she argued with me and asked if I wanted extra nuts, $1 more!! Lol I said no, just give me the normal amount, more than 4! She brought about 10 and charged me $1.00.. Yesterday I had watered egg drop soup, very bland! It used to be my favorite there!!..their portions vary I noticed, sometimes very scant and more bland and watery gravy. Then sometimes you'll get a larger watery portion with more vegetables, less meat.. but the chicken is rubbery anyway and brown. They have changed people from about 6 years ago except a couple people who have been there forever. They are very hasty and just want to get you in and out!! Not as nice as it used to be. I rarely go there anymore and I'm thinking yesterday may be my last visit. The chicken is brown rubbery and gross, the sauce/gravy is watery even in flavor along with the soup. I hope this will help. I'm saddened about it, have been the last 5-6 years of horrid experience. Crazy thing is that i would brag and bring people with me in this last 5-6 years and they don't like it at all they would remark. I'm a repeat customer of many years. I don't know what...
Read moreSeptember 17, 2025 Tonight we went to, what used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant. I wasn't very hungry, so I only ordered the egg drop soup. I also ate a little bit of my husband's food. When we got the check, I thought it was a little high for what we ordered. At this place, you take your check to the cashier. So, I asked the cashier. She said that because I didn't order a meal, I had to pay for the tea because I drank some out of the teapot!!! It was my husband's pot of tea and he shared it with me. So, they charged an additional $2.00 on the check. We didn't even empty the teapot!! That angered me so much, I will never go back there. (It's like going to a Mexican restaurant and eating the complimentary chips and when you get the bill, they charged you for the chips because 1 person at your table didn't order a whole meal)) It's not a big amount, but it wasn't right. It costs a lot anymore to go out to eat. We don't need the waitress to add more costs to the bill. Evidently they are watching what their customers eat and drink. It's kind of creepy to think about them watching you! We have been going there for at least 20 years! I do not understand them. Their customers should be important to them!! If this is how they treat their customers and upcharge without merit, what else are they cutting corners on?? They have lost a 20 year...
Read moreWe ordered for carry out sweet and sour chicken. Other places it seems like the chicken is dehydrated then battered and fried. This chicken was moist and served with green pepper, onion and white rice. Some places don't even include veggies. Also ordered potstickers and cheese puffs. Order was filled accurately and timely. We were able to make 4 meals from the portion.
Several months later, we went in person to eat. My mother ordered sweet n sour shrimp and I, the sweet n sour pork. My mother's was good. Mine, on the other hand, no so much. The pork was shriveled up to a tough, dried up piece of jerky! I couldn't eat it so, since the waitress didn't come back to check,, I got up to see about ordering what my mother had only to find our waitress sitting in a far corner booth with 2 or 3 other waitresses. The hostess sent her over and I ordered the shrimp. The order came and it was chicken! I probably got someone else's order because she later came over to see if I'd gotten shrimp. I said no and said the chicken was fine. Upon leaving, they were cleaning up pee from a customers dog in the small lobby. That latter incident was not their fault, just kind of topped off...
