TeenyTown Playland — Local services in Litchfield Park

Overall, a decent value if you live in the area. The toys are decent and there is a wide variety. The staff are usually very nice and overall it’s fairly clean. However, we pay for the $50 month membership. You get about 2 hours a day for that price. It’s pretty good and we use it often. However, compared to other places like the Childrens Museum of Phoenix or the Recreation center of Goodyear. The value isn’t very good as for the children’s museum we only pay about $160 for the year. I think it’s like $250 for the year for the Rec center. However, one is a non-profit and the other is basically a public service so it makes sense why.

My only real con is that the staff do not really enforce the rules they post everywhere. Kids will throw things down the slide or climb up the slide and prevent other kids from going down. If some elderly person makes a big enough stink about wearing socks they will sometimes just let them go barefoot when that’s against the rules. And if a kid is being a disturbance they are very hesitant to get involved. When these rules are there for the safety of the kids I wish they would enforce them more often. What an amazing play area for the kiddos!! Such a novel and fun concept! This Playland has many different play houses with specific themes including: a cafe, a kitchen, a grocery store, a car depot, a beauty salon, and several others! All of the houses are constructed of wood and are very well made. There is a slide as well.

There is an area with tables and chairs for parents to relax and for snack time. The front of the play area has a plethora of toys for sale, mainly Melissa and Doug toys, which are excellent quality.

This play area offers private play and hosts events as well! I believe it is best to check their Instagram for events coming up. Also, both parents and kiddos need socks to enter the play area.

My toddler really enjoyed their time here , the 2 hours flew by and when it was time for nap time they knocked out so I would say it was a successful activity for the day. However, as a parent I cant help but notice that alot of the toys and materials need replacing. So many of the toys were broken or on their last legs, which is completely understandable considering you have countless little ones coming in each and every day. I just think that periodically they should be replaced because some of the toys just could not be played with and were lacking all the parts. And I think it could be slightly more organized and disinfected better but again, I understand a place like this could be somewhat hard to maintain with the amount of children coming in and out daily.
