I've posted the below review as somebody who is easy going, willing to spend money, and a beer connoisseur. Not only that I've worked in the service industry for years from Wendy's to high end dining, and I've worked for a craft beer bar in a mountain tourist town. I've been drinking craft beer for eight years and have traveled. I am shocked by the response i received from the owner. It's rude and the farthest thing from customer service I've experienced. Very condensing and highly unprofessional. That will be posted below as well so you can all see how this business operates. For the record we paid 75 dollars for two flights and two beers. That is insane.
We went for trivia which was not a great experience. The trivia host you couldn't understand at all and she even didn't understand a lot of the questions and topics. She had zero personality. The service was poor, she was chatting to friends or colleagues at the end of the bar most the night and we waited half an hour at one point to be served a beer. If she was busy we get that but zero friendliness or customer service. (Which i now have been advised is their best employee-shocking) The beer selection was basic at best and over priced. If you are a craft beer drinker it's not great. I would not recommend this to anyone to be honest. Shocked that the rating was so high because I'm really easy going. No desire to go back here.
Response from the owner: My review of your review. Your comments regarding Trivia not being a great experience - Valid feedback. We are winding down trivia night due to poor acoustics. Your comments regarding the service-The server that was working is our best employee and with the most outgoing and friendly personality. So this is a you problem. You should look internally. I wonder if you ordered food. Because that can take a while when its busy. Because we are a bar. Not a restaurant. Your comments about the beer selection - Completely false and uninformed. You should probably keep buying your beer at Total Wine. A craft beer connoisseur would know that out selection is THE BEST on the West Side, if your interested in quality and scarcity. Your comments about price. Again, false and uninformed. In this industry, we all use a similar markup. So pricing across the valley is going to be close. If you're concerned about a couple of dollars, then you should not be going to a place that sells specialized and premium products. Maybe a dive bar is more in your budget. Based on your comments, you're clearly not an experienced craft beer drinker so you have no credibility. Finally - the fact that you took time to do a bad online review for a small business makes you and ugly person on the inside. You should probably get some help with that. Thanks for not coming back with your whiny personality...
Read moreIs it amazing to me that any small brewery would not honor their marketing. I walked into Tap Savvy with the yearly 2024 Pub Pass. This was literally the last one out of 25 that I had left. 24 out of 25 of these establishments I’ll give you a pint of beer with the Pub Pass. I have not been to one of these that I did not have at least two or three beers plus buy some merchandise from some of them. I walk into here today and the lady behind the bar informed me that 3 of the beers were off-limits to the pass and as well any beer I picked you get 5 ounces, not even anywhere near a pint. I can’t honor an establishment like this when they can’t even honor a simple marketing tool like Pub Pass. I Never tried their beers and never will and I hope this review will deter people from going to Tap Savvy or their other location Tap2. If you don’t want to serve a pint of beer and be part of the Pub Pass, then stop joining it. This place has no business being...
Read moreWas astonished to find a bottle shop here! Had been looking since we moved to the area, and tap savvy does not disappoint. The refrigerator selection is small, but incredible!!!! Great selection of IPAs, sours, and stouts with a few meads and barrel aged options to round it out. They carry a lot of Drekker beers, which have become one of my all time favorite breweries over the last year (peep them on untapped, I'm not the only one!) And they also have some good local selections too (tombstone is a good option). In addition, they have multiple beers on tap that can be canned to go, or consumed on site. You can even sample most selections before committing to a whole crowler! Seriously, just try it out once, you will be hooked! The friendly staff will give you lots of recommendations based off your pallette and...
