The Dog House — Local services in Four Corners States

I've taken my three Chihuahuas downtown to a groomer for a few years, but after unsatisfactory results a few times I decided to try The Dog House, as it's less than a mile up the street from me.

Not only did they do a fantastic job, they were fast and had us out the door in around ten minutes. It takes longer just to get them downtown!

They did a great job smoothing their nails, something I'm especially grateful for since my elderly mother bruises very easily and that had been a problem at their previous groomer. Plus, after telling them about my 13 year old arthritic Mastiff/Sharpei and how much she disliked her paws being touched, and seeing how good they were with my little ones, we ran home and got our Moxie and they took care of her too! I was so impressed with how they handled her and I really felt they listened to my concerns about her fear and well-being.

I highly recommend the ladies there. I know I've found a new permanent...

This was a great place to take your dog. The last time I took my dogs here the new lady that works here butchered my dogs... I drive truck and am gone for a week at a time my wife doesn't drive... so when we had time to go back to show them she was making up stuff that we did to our dogs... like we don't know what you did to the dogs when you get home ... if we did any trimming at home why did we take them to you and give a 25 dollar tip... told us that the dog was eating his own but hole... really that one was great... she would not listen to us and kept trying to blow us off... the owner just walked past us and didn't try to say give me a minute and I will talk to you ... our dogs are playful and for two weeks after the cut they were miserable and wouldn't play... so now we need to find a new groomer again ... our dogs choose who cuts them... when they are...

I have a schnauzer dachshund mix whose hair grows so long he looks like a little old man (despite being a puppy). These ladies really know their stuff cause he always comes out happy as can be, looking his actual age! We get a modified schnauzer cut. Normally a 2 on the body with a trim on his brows and mustache and a flagged tail. His paws are always moisturized with nice short claws and his ears are silky smooth. NOT TO MENTION THE SMELL. Oh man he normally smells kinda bad as he rolls around in dirt and licks himself often but when he comes out of the dog house, he smells amazing and clean. I love this place more than I can say. I think they do a fabulous job but it makes me even happier that my little Arthur loves to go to...
