I chose FSU because I live in Framingham and work full time (40+ hours per week) so I needed a college that was close by and offered evening and online courses. As a Continuing Ed student I am very disappointed in the course offerings. You're required to complete Gen Ed courses like math and biology, but these courses are not offered any later than 4:30pm, so if you work full time you're going to have a very difficult time completing your Gen Ed requirements. Most of the professors are great, but you will run into a few professors that treat you like a child and assume that you don't know anything (Beware of Prof Merson). The Financial Aid office and the Student Accounts office are horrible!!! They do not answer their phones. The last time I was in the Finaid office I called their main line from my cell to see who ignored the calls and the phone didn't ring out-loud....which means they turn their ringers off! ALWAYS communicate with their offices via email so that you have their answers in writing because they tend to go back on their word and screw things up just as you're about to start classes. I have been at FSU for almost 6 years now because I can never get the classes that I need. If you ever consult with advising beware because they add courses to your degree audit (without telling you) that you don't actually need, which screws everything up. Although FSU has a Continuing Education program, I do not recommend it for older students if you have jobs/careers because it's almost impossible to complete your requirements without having to make scarifies that jeopardize your job. Also, if you commute good luck parking. You're going to have a difficult time parking for late afternoon & evening courses. The lots are always full because residents park where they're not supposed to but they have no choice because there is not enough parking for them either. FSU is better suited for traditional aged college students who can afford to live on campus or commute early in the day. Best of luck if you choose...

I had a mixed experience with this institution. The positives are that the professors are great, the courses are generally stimulating, the cost is lower than many other institutions and I felt that I learned a lot from the course as a whole. The big negative for me was that the administrative staff are rude, incompetent and arrogant. One of them sent me instructions for my final graduation portfolio which I followed to the letter, only to have my portfolio returned because the instructions she sent me were incorrect. There was no apology given because I "could have asked". Why on earth would I ask for clarification when the instructions given were perfectly clear? My graduation was delayed for several months due to this administrative error, and once again no apology was given. Due to this, I would not recommend the institution to other prospective students despite having had positive experiences of the...

This school is one of the most corrupt. They set you up for failure in every way possible. They have made it impossible to obtain a bachelor's degree in under 5 years. They also make it impossible to pay off all of your debt to them. I have spoken to their Student Accounts office every year for 5 years trying to pay off my debt. They insist that I do not owe anything more and yet every tax season they take my taxes because I apparently owe them money. This has happened every single year. A person will tell me that I have paid off all of my loans and my debt to the school but then I have to call them to find out there is some new fee I apparently haven't paid. They have access to see my debt and say that I don't owe anything when apparently I do. I have the money but they make it impossible to pay them.

They are extremely unorganized and will hold you back escaping their grip. DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT...
