Approximately 3 weeks ago I purchased a diamond ring from Venus Jewelers. Today, I returned to the store seeking assistance, as I noticed that one of the smaller diamonds was missing. I initially had concerns that the integrity of the ring may have been compromised since it needed to be sized down considerably due to my extremely small ring size of 3.5. When I entered the store I was pleasantly greeted by Johnny, who immediately assured me that the piece was not compromised and subsequently provided an explanation for my actions that may have caused the issue, which was feasible. Johnny explained that there would be a cost associated with replacing the stone, which was understandable since it was not a defect on their part. Johnny then went into the office and returned to advise me that he would actually replace the stone ( which would have been a few hundred dollars) at no cost to me. Not only did he have Vic replace the missing stone and further secure the other stones, but it was done within 30 minutes, when in fact, I should have left the ring for them to work on. I say all of this to say, Johnny and Vic exceeded my expectations today, to the extent that I plan to return in the near future for a matching piece to my beautiful Radiant Diamond ring. I needed to get a piece of jewelry appraised for insurance purposes urgently. I called several local jewelers, but they either only had an appraiser come to their store once a week or would need me to make an appointment a week in advance then wait another week for someone to type the appraisal. Then I remembered that my daughter and son-in-law had spoken very highly of Venus Jewelers when they were looking for wedding bands. I called them and was immediately connected to Jason, who offered to perform my appraisal that same afternoon. I brought the ring to their beautiful store where I was greeted by their friendly staff, and offered a beverage while I waited. Jason performed the appraisal and typed it up himself in less than 30 minutes for a much more reasonable fee than the other area jewelers had quoted. Then his colleague, Donna, polished the ring for me free of charge. I was so impressed with their professionalism and customer service, I will be sure to use them for all of my future jewelry needs, and I will recommend them highly to my friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues. At Venus, I really do feel like I have a friend in the jewelry business!
