I see ALOT of us are in the reviews saying the same thing. The owner/cashier is the absolute worst and will be the reason they go out of business. I had a few bagel spots in mind, looked at their menus and I choose this place because their veggie sandwichâs come with a side salad and chips (according to the site). I get there and grab my food, on the way out I ask if I can have a sauce for my sandwichâ she says itâs an extra charge. She tells me to come back to the counter so she can show me that the sandwich has sauce inside.. Iâm like what sauce would that be, because I didnât ask for sauce ? So Iâm like whatever, no biggieâ I take the sandwich and go to the car. When I checked the bag I noticed the side salad was missing. I go back and ask for the salad and she tried to charge me. I told her what it said on the site and she insisted I had the wrong business. Once I verified the address and pulled up their website where this info is listed she started giggling and saying that was from 20 years ago⊠so Iâm like ok? Thatâs not my fault you havenât updated your site! This is literally what I used to make my decision of coming here! So we going back and forth on why I should get this salad and she isnât budging!! Despite the fact it says this on the site. I told her to take the sandwich back and give me my money back. Her husband jumps in saying âwhy you canât just take the sandwich, we already made itâ now we have to waste itâ Iâm like sir ? This is customer service 101! You donât HAVE to waste anything If you use your heads! Iâm asking for LETTUCE here, one of the cheapest things you can buy as a restaurant owner! If they were smart they wouldâve just given me my salad, and let me know for next time the menu will be updated. I wouldâve understood and appreciated the exception just for today and wouldâve known for next time. Now you lost a full sale, money/time wasted on the sandwich you made, lost another frequent customer and have yet another horrible review. The husband made sure to tell me never to come back too, Iâm sure thatâs why they are always empty đ they run everyone out of there! I will never step foot in that establishment again. The food is bland anyway. When you are this cheap as a business owner, I would use caution buying from places like this. I see ppl saying the charging for butter!? They cut corners in the most unsanitary ways we probably have no clue about. Donât waste your money
Btw, the sandwich/wrap was still $7.99â meaning this canât be from that long ago because the price would be much lower. The owner is just cheap, rude and a liar that doesnât think ppl read the menu or call them out...
Read moreOn the fence here, because the employees are great and the food is actually very good; I just can't stand the owner anymore. It was off-putting watching her treat her employees disrespectfully (yes, customers notice that), but then she went out of her way to charge me extra for something I explicitly said I didn't want to pay extra for...after she had already rung me up. For context, I ordered an egg/meat/cheese sandwich on a bagel, a bagel with cream cheese, and a triple decker sandwich for lunch (my usual on a work from home day, and a fairly large order for 1 person). Should have seen it coming, because what's included in the Triple Decker sandwich changed every time I went in there (price didn't and menu description didn't). Apparently a triple decker doesn't come with lettuce and tomato, news to me, and they cost $.50 extra each. I had already paid, and I said leave it off if it costs extra, but apparently it had already been put on (note, I never requested it either way when I ordered), so now I had to break a $20 to pay an extra $1.07 (with tax) after she was running back and forth behind the counter like I was trying to pull a fast one on her. Guess what lady, it was a dollar...hope it was worth losing a regular customer over. Now I go to Bagel Peddler, just as good, more friendly, and I noticed the employee who was the biggest victim of the disrespect that I mentioned seems to be doing quite...
Read moreIf you thought bagel places can't be anything except a bagel place, you are wrong. This place is fantastic. Not only do they have a wide variety of bagel flavors, they have an even more impressive selection of spreads (most of which they make right there). They also feature Philadelphia cream cheeses for the more typical flavors.
Dude, I hate coffee, and their coffee is amazing. The workers there are so nice! Always a smile, always so prompt, speedy, and attentive. I love how mom-and-pop this is, and I swear if this place is geographically an option for me at a given time that I'm hungry, I won't choose any other breakfast or bagel place. The bagels are so fluffy, fresh, and chewy. They use the PERFECT amount of cream cheese, and actually bother to spread it neatly so there isn't a gigantic lump of cream cheese in the hole (I'm looking at you, DD).
Plenty of room to sit down, and sit down comfortably. It's decorated enough to be cozy and pleasant, but roomy enough for plenty of guests.
Listen, just don't bother getting bagels anywhere else. I know you didn't think sub-par existed for something as mundane as bagels, but here...bagels are anything but mundane and ordinary. They are so good, everything else is sub-par when you didn't even realize there was a par. These guys are the bagel equivalent of the Asian in your lecture that...
