DICK'S home office or the other DICK'S stores' managers need to come in to this Franklin location and train the employees on: 1) how to work out on the floor. there never seems to be more than 2 employees ever in the store, and if DICK's is paying more employees than that, they must be in the back away from the customers. 2) when there are more than 3 people in line, you should open up another register. I have been in there several times when there's been more than 5 people in line. 3) how to assist customers to find the needed item at another store. I needed a pair of cleats for a game the following day and the employee told me the only thing she could do was to order it online and have it shipped. I asked her to see if the Murfreesboro DICK'S (which I ended up at, and had wonderful customer service) had the size needed and she said that she was not allowed to call any other stores, she was only allowed to order online. no joke. 4) if you do not want to work, go home. a good team is lead by good management. clearly, this store needs new management because there are always frustrated customers in there when I am there and it has not changed in the 3+ years I have been going in there. I wish there was a closer DICK'S to my house. I have been in the beautiful 2 story store in Louisville, the store in Murfreesboro, and stores in NJ and PA. I have had great experiences there. There is a reason why Sports Academy, with not as great of inventory, is always busy; great...
Read moreWent in looking for a TYR bathing suit that the website said was in stock and available for 1 hour pick up. Firstly, the bathing suit section was an absolute wreck. Second, after searching and sifting through the mess with 2 kids in tow to boot, I gave up and went to the front to ask for assistance. The young man said he would send someone to meet me there. Went back and waited and looked some more on my own. Finally went searching for another associate. Found an older man who seemed absolutely miserable, and ended up being just as unhelpful. He radioed to see who was “supposed” to have come help me. I don’t even know if he got a response. He just shook his head and said he would be right over. Never came over. Needless to say, I left and have no desire to come back. It’s no wonder brick and mortars are closing down left and right. When you can’t compete with giants like Amazon, you should at least provide the best service possible. We are a family of athletes, and will be making all of our future...
Read moreI only wrote this review because Addison sees me approach her register to check out this evening, and she stands there and talks to a customer that’s done checking out for another 5 mins or so - which is a long time where you’re just standing there idle. And they’re having a personal conversation. How do I know? It’s the father of two girls she went to school with in elementary. I overheard everything. Nothing regarding the store or the merchandise, they were simply catching up on life. Handsome guy, but nevertheless she could have multitasked at the very least and got me out of there. Not only did she not acknowledge me, the manager initially looked up and saw her - as Addison was the only register open - but the mgr continued to clean up behind another counter. I didn’t get a thank you for the wait, I’m sorry about that…nothing. It was simply rude. But she’s someone’s child, so I didn’t say anything…however the manager should have spoken up but said NOTHING. Needless to say, I won’t be back....
