Maryland Christmas Show — Local services in Frederick

I’ve attended the Maryland Christmas craft show for many years. 2024 - the first weekend - was a wonderful show! New manager added more vendors occupying seven buildings; the couple of luncheon vendors moved from one of the buildings back into an enclosed and heated tent (with tables and chairs to sit); there was a food truck that says creamery on it but the sign shows grilled cheese sandwiches and various desserts such as apple crisp; a tent for nostalgic candies and other food stuff; and a popcorn concessionaire. Parking was organized. An employee at each entrance passed out a pamphlet of vendors - a first. The lunch tent had a guitarist who sang and played well. The selection of vendors make handcrafted items. One of the vendors said there was a waiting list of 40 vendors hopping a space would open. It was very busy on Sunday when we went. They are open the weekend after Thanksgiving as well. Hopefully this continues to be a five star show in...

Two stars for the 2 vendors who make their own product and have unique items (the lady with the themed mini-Christmas trees and the man who does custom woodwork). Otherwise, few original creations, too much of the same thing and too much food and drink for sale.

Would much prefer that there was Thanksgiving to New Year's Christkindl Market like they have in Baltimore and Europe. Authentic German ornaments and trinkets, mulled wine and cider and holiday treats for sale, workshops where kids can make small gifts for their parents or decorate cookies, Vendor huts decorated in garland and lights and decorations lining the marketplace along with music and scents of the season.

We have 2 Sister Cities in Germany. Perhaps we should invite them here for the holidays so they can show us...

Christmas show was incredible. it had variety along with vendors from all over the country. I moved to Frederick several months ago, so this was my first year participating.

I've seen several negative reviews about how the Christmas show has diminished over the years. if that's the case then it had to have been spectacular, because I found this year's show outstanding!

From specialty food items, specialty arts & crafts , to clothing wear, specialty pet goods, home goods and engaging vendors!

From what I encountered, it was a great time had by all! if you missed it and or decided not to come because of one of the poor reviews I encourage you to come next year and decide for yourself! I had a good time and if the Lord is willing, I'll be...
