Gone Postal — Local services in Freeport

The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE experience I had in town!!! It was my second time in Gone Postal. The first time I went I was so pleased with how I got the help I need. Of course it was with a different person. The bad experience was with a different lady. She might be the manager or the owner but whoever she was I find her not fit for the business she is in. Does not know how to smile and approach people with courtesy or just doesn’t understand what customer service is all about. When we arrived in the shop there were two doors. The closest door where we’re at was propped open and there were two people (lady and ups guy) chatting. We can see from outside the merchandise and the counter where we need to transact so we thought that can be an entry way going in. There was never any clue that the door was for a different use. By the time we stepped in we were told to go out because that was just a delivery door. I felt unhappy with the tone and the manner we were advised to go out. If only that was for delivery they could have closed it right away for people not to assume that could be another way to go in. Besides, when people mistakenly go in tell them nicely not in an arrogant way. Then, when we inquired about the service we need from them she was also different. She may be the owner but she still needs customers to operate. Each and every customer that steps in the shop regardless of whether they are rich or poor is a blessing and should be valued because they bring revenue. Absolutely wonderful service! Had to ship medical equipment back to sender which I got by mistake. I was in an upset state due to this error. The owner and helper who took the box were absolutely so professional and KIND while I was freaking out. They printed the return address and got the box out with FedEx within minutes of me walking in the door. Went back this week to ship a gift to California and again they were efficient and so nice and the gift arrive the NEXT DAY! This is my new go to store! They have uniforms, gifts and stock books by local writers! LOVE LOVE LOVE...

Completing a simple task such as mailing back a return is very difficult for this location. I had to leave and drive 40 minutes towards Rockford to return a product via a QR code. Upon entering the location the area was confusing. It sells hospital scrubs as well as wind chimes (I believe). The signage was offensive. Please see attached.
