C & C Games — Local services in Fremont

My wife and I found C&C Games by accident many years ago. I can't say exactly when it was; we were in Fremont visiting the Rutherford B. Hayes museum. For lunch the museum staff recommended a few restaurants and we decided to check out the (at the time Wang's) Asian Buffet. After lunch I thought it would be fun to spend 5 minutes to see what C&C had - having no intention of buying anything. Being mostly interested in games from my youth, I was surprised by the vast selection of systems and games from just about all generations - Atari on up. They also have quite a selection of niche and hard-to-find games that my wife enjoys, and they are happy to order in just about anything they don't have on their shelves. Even though we live near Cleveland, 90 minutes away, we make a point of making the drive to Fremont to visit C&C every couple months to see what's new (and old!). Even if we don't buy anything, it's a fun experience to chat with the staff and see how the used game/console/accessory inventory has changed. I came all the way from Michigan to see this place and I was impressed. This type of game store is rare because they actually sell games instead of t-shirts, give more trade-in value than anyone else, and have the widest selection of games. All the generations are represented here from Atari to PS5. There's really no reason to go anywhere else. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and don't pressure you to buy anything as soon as you walk through the door. They sold my husband a piece of junk system. My husband took it back and they couldn't figure out how to refund it! Finally I took it in, 3 days later, and they wanted to get an attitude and try and talk down to me like if they intimidated me, I would cave and keep the piece of junk! Once the lady who works there realized her nasty attitude wasn't working on me, she refunded the money back to my card.
