El Aguila Bakery — Restaurant in Fremont

I really like this store a lot. I’m Mexican-American and I appreciate all the Mexican food offerings they have here. I live over 50 miles away and whenever I start craving good chorizo, I make a trip out here. Plus I love the bakery. But that’s all the positive things I have to say about this store. It seems like every time I go to shop here, the employees act like they don’t really want to be there. They’re not very attentive to the customers. They’re not overly outgoing, and just don’t make me feel like i want to spend my money at their establishment. And then there’s the fact that they never have any tamales when I come to the store? What’s with that? That’s a high dollar item and they should always have those. Same with the bakery. They are always out of stuff. That’s my review of this place. If customer service doesn’t matter to you, then you’ll be ok in there. I only tolerate this store because I can’t get this stuff where I live. Hope this...

I've shopped at this bakery for almost 40 years and it still has the best pan dulce in the area. The pastries are baked fresh and they are beautiful and tasty. I've visited many other Mexican bakeries, but the pan dulce is the best I've seen. There are different colors and you can tell they take a lot pride in their work. The store has a good selection of Mexican dry goods, spices, canned foods, Milagro tortillas, Supremo chorizo, nopales, queso fresco, tamales, etc. Pinatas molcajetes, hojas, chiles, and candies are also available. This place the food is good but the place is ridiculous they don't inform you they close for lunch for a whole hour and half which is ridiculous they don't put that on here I drove all the way there and a sign on the door said closed for lunch like huh that's so stupid yes I'd understand if they are short staffed but why not put that info on here so people don't drive all the way there to be told closed for a hour and half and they still have the open sign on the door.
