Smart & Final Extra! — Local services in Fremont

I was just at this location and walked up to check out. I was with my daughter and wife. We were buying paper plates, hot links, and a pack of beer. I had walked out to take an important call and left my daughter and wife paying. I handed the card to my daughter because she was closest to me. The lady at the registers (named Jacky) then asked them who was going to pay and my daughter (still holding the card because she didn’t know what was going) told her my wife was going To pay for it and Jacky rudely told them “no” because my daughter was holding the card first and she was going to be the one paying for it, so my daughter then told her it wasn’t her card and handed the card to my wife. Even after my wife showed her ID Jacky still rejected them and didn’t allow them to pay for their items. My daughter tried to explain to her that my wife was showing her ID and that she had the card now, all she was going to Do was help her with the process of using the card but Jacky now raising her voice at my daughter said “nope I’m not going to sell you this because you are buying alcohol under age.” My daughter is only 14 and has no card under her name so how could it possibly be that she would be using her money to pay for the alcohol along with everything else. And aside from that my daughter wasn't alone my wife was present with her and showing proof of her ID. I then walked back into the store and tried to purchase the alcohol and while Jacky was with another customer she started to talk even before I had said anything and didn’t want to sell the items To me. She said she would call a manager over but both never came out. This is not good customer service at all and raising her voice at a MINOR is not acceptable. I did not appreciate this experience and I’ve been a customer of Smart & Final for years now, after this experience I don’t think I’ll be going back...

♡This is a grocery store is Like a Mini Costco. They have oversized carts, You can buy large quantity medium quantity and small quantity items. This is great if you shop at Costco but don't wanna leave the store with 2 items for $200. You get a lot for the money you spend and you're not buying 200 you're only buying 20 so it's half the size of Costco stuff. You can get more for a big family because they have Stuff similar to Costco or Safeway Safeway but you're not buying as big as Costco it's about half the size of what you would get you would get for a Costco item. Fresh , Frozen and Box store buy options down to single person options and the prices are absolutely amazing stores super clean great products & selections, huge beer wine and alcohol selection! So many beers!This is great if you're buying for your restaurant barbecue party Or just for yourself. Supersize. Family size or items for one.. hand's down best prices. Best kept secret...always empty one depending on what you're looking for you can probably find it here. My experience was not good at all. Place looked clean so decided to buy groceries there since new in area and apart from service being so bad the prices are not easy to find or understand and the produce please check it my cilantro literally had dirt hard rocks in it. It was so much I couldn't believe they didn't see it. I always rinse at home anyway but it was too much. Once in awhile you'll get a good deal on chicken but only good deals you get is what you hardly buy and didn't sell fast enough. New to the area but going back to my Safeway . Not worth me getting sick off of meat and produce . The cashier's are so mean and rude at times that it's hard to tell what mood there are in and not...
