tl;dr Avoid this place if you want to be safe - the workers aren't wearing masks and washing hands properly, and have very bad/rude service while over charging for items.
I went there a couple of days ago for a pickup order. First, they let me and another person who was there for pickup wait for so long because the one customer service person they had preferred to answer phone calls (even the ones that came in after we arrived there) over helping the customers who are in the shop.
Second, when I gave my credit card to pay for the order that sole person helping customers charged it but didn't give me any receipt. I assumed he would have charged the right amount, but luckily I immediately got an alert from my credit card company notifying me of the charge which seemed higher than expected. There were a couple of menus on the tables up front so I quickly checked and confirmed what I was expecting was right and I was indeed over charged. When I brought this to the attention of the person there, he very rudely said "this is old menu" without showing any new menu with new prices. He came to argue with me and the other person present there without wearing his face mask properly (it was just hanging under his chin). I even requested him to wear his face mask before coming closer or talking towards us, but he completely ignored us.
While waiting for my order I saw 2 more employees - one inside the kitchen who wasn't wearing any mask or gloves of any sort, and another behind the counter packing food for pickup/delivery orders and his mask was also hanging under his chin leaving his mouth and nose exposed, and he wasn't wearing gloves either.
Given the utter lack of hygiene I saw there I just couldn't get myself to eat the food I over-paid for and I ended up throwing it just to keep myself and my family safe. PLEASE STAY AWAY IF YOU CARE ABOUT...
Read moreWe have not been to the restaurant so I will rate the catering services. Between the several friends and us, we have probably used the catering services over 5 times. We have used them twice now, and both times, everything was perfect. The staff is very friendly and professional. They come early, have everything set up and then create a nice table with a menu and serve everything is chafing dishes. We love their Chaat catering menu. At $19.99/person this is a such a great deal. You get so much food and the guests are always happy. Our guests were talking and complimenting the food the next day when we all got together at another party. Sadly, that party did not have Go Chaatz. Our experience with the owner and the on-site catering staff is always excellent.
The chana batura is excellent! The pani puri is delectable! You could literally eat these forever! The vada pav brought back Indian street food memories. The samosa chaat with tasty. The large sized samosas fill you up after just one! For dessert, we ordered the mango mouse and falooda drinks. The mango mousse was fluffy and served in cups with fresh fruit. If you have never done this, take some of the falooda and mix it with the mango mousse! You can't go wrong!
The on-site staff showed up over 1.5hours early to set up and stayed late, making sure everything was clean and their trash was taken. All leftovers were packed and given to the guests! And we had a lot leftover! Makes a great dinner even the next day! Another wonderful experience. I highly recommend their catering services...
Read morePlease check my review posted few months ago and see the contrast between then and now. I have to say service has become really bad and staff is very unprofessional and inexperienced. Plus, Cleanliness is something not given any importance in this restaurant. Last but definitely not the least, food. Food quality has gone down tremendously in last few months. Specially, the North Indian Thali (too much chilli in veggies), Manchu Ping-pong (Gravy is very watery), Falooda (It was served raw first and on complaining they served just the ice-cream without even asking because they said Falooda noodles were not ready). All in all restaurant quality has gone down a lot.
My previous review: Me and my wife have been in love with this restaurant since we started having dinner there around 4 months ago. Taste is amazing and very close to authentic tasty indian food. We have never been let down by any dish we ordered here, be it Dahi Gappa, Go! Chaat Platter, Bhel Sundae, Chhole Bhature, Pav Bhaji, North Indian Thali, Haka Saka Noodles, Veggie Chowmein or Manchu Ping-Pong (Gobi manchurian with gravy). Every dish is quite delicious and perfectly seasoned. Go! Chaat platter and Manchu Ping-Pong is a must try. A dinner here would never be heavy on your pocket rather it'll be much cheaper...
