We were 7 minutes late to our first ever appointment with her (after getting lost in the hospital and standing in the wrong lines). Dr. Khan refused to see us on the basis that we already missed half the appointment. We asked the staff if we could just get the school required vaccinations and return another day for the complete physical. We were told that she still refused. It was explained to her that the next available appointment wasn't until after school started, but she wouldn't budge. I'm upset that my child couldn't get vaccinated for school today, but I'm glad we learned how cold and uncaring she is, before we started seeing her. Looking for a new pediatrician now that cares about her patients well being all around and not just her schedule (even though she took a patient instead of us in our time slot).
Note: The staff at Sutter were very understanding and helpful. They managed to book my son for next week with a medical assistant, who agreed to see him despite her already...
Read moreDr. Khan is hands down one of the best doctors our kids have seen. She has provided our kids with thorough care and gives us very clear, helpful explanations and guidance. She has also spotted and helped us navigate tricky, rare medical conditions. Without her attention to detail, swiftness and proactiveness, it's very likely one of our kids would have gone undiagnosed and become even sicker for much longer. Dr. Khan also goes above and beyond to make her patients feel seen and heard and to advocate on their behalf. We are so fortunate to have her here in Fremont!
I'm very surprised by the negative reviews here, but also want to note that none of those reviews have anything to do with Dr. Khan's abilities as a physician. The issues with scheduling and appointments are very likely beyond her control and dictated by Sutter Health's policies. We have never had any issues with appointments being canceled, but we are also always on time (or 15 min early per the scheduling...
Read moreIf there were 0 stars, I would give that. She cancelled our video visit last min with an excuse from her office that its her "preference" to see a new patient in person. How in the world her preference trumps a kid's pain and suffering? Whole benefit of PAMF is that there are doctors available if your PCP is out of office. No empathy, no reasoning. I would highly recommend going to a better medical group who have responsible doctors. Dr. Khan is just looking to boost her roster of patients and does not care at human level. Medical board should review such behavior. I will be sure to register complaints...
