Harbor Freight — Local services in Frenchtown Charter Township

Harbor Freight apparently is knock off tool central. Shipped straight from factories with a knack for copying the look of more expensive and reliable tools. I wish I cared more about this. I should honestly. Poorly paid labor, stolen intellectual property, and I am sure there is more to the list of wrongdoings towards either capitalists or humans in equal measure. I bought from there anyway. I figured it would be nearly as cheap to buy some low end tools as to rent some. Plus, at the end of the project I could sell them or gift them away. There clearly was a loss leader in effect. They advertised a pneumatic brad nailer for $34. It would not drive the 2" 16 gage brads i wanted so I had to buy the $67 version. The air tank was as enough to do the job. $50 Hose and coupling was maybe $15 total. Brads also cheap.all in all $140 or so. You know what? It does trim just fine. I will not use this a ton. But I have needed a brad nailer on and off multiple times in the last decade. Now I have it.

There is something to be said for high quality tools. Let the contractors and professionals speak to that. I am just some dude barely skilled enough to put up trim poorly. The tools will get me through the job and I don't have to stress about getting a rental back quickly. Real professionals should shop somewhere else. Went to return a fan that was broken in the box when I opened it. Told the last I would like to exchange it for another one or put it towards another fan purchase. This fan was $70 or $80. They didn't have the model and the models they had were lesser in power and cost more so I picked a fan that was on display. It was priced and had the tags and paperwork attached. I watched a man buy a floor model tiller or mower, not 10 min before this and thought both of it be it the fan was $200+ and a floor model prices to sell. Anyway long story short I was told no I couldn't buy it and left angry and without my money or my fan. One mile down the road at Family farm and home I find myself in the exact same situation. Floor model fan price to sell but before I go out of my way to drag it to the front I asked the lady and she says of course I will sell it to you! why wouldn't I? I told her of my experience 20 min earlier and she shook her head. I spend $1,000 a week and grow materials and I spend it between four places at four places is now 3 enjoy my $70 Harbor Freight. The big fat dude inside has given me nothing but constant lies and constant rudeness every time i come into the store, i came in about 1 1/2 months ago trying to buy a small motor but i was looking for a hemi and was told that they stopped making them years ago and they didn’t have any of the motors, (hemi/non-hemi) so i waited a week until they said they would be in stock and when i came back they weren’t in stock so i asked and they said another week and then the same thing happened next week but the week after they finally had some in stock so i came in and bought one and then when i get home i discovered there was dirt in the tank when i got it and it had made its way inside the motor, so i took that motor back and exchanged it and got a hemi which i had been told was discontinued for years so i took it back and he told me they only have non-hemis and then got defensive when i told him it was a hemi and then proceeded to tell me to leave and just go to...
