This situation doesn’t sit right with me and I’m hoping to shed some light here around what I assume is the management of this location. During what I would assume is rush time, I stopped in on my roadtrip to grab a bite to eat. There was only one worker on the line and about 5-8 people waiting. Despite the growing line and the young lady working the counter by herself, she was kind enough to make sure everyone was taken care of with a good attitude despite the circumstance. After quite some time two people pop out to assist after the young lady had pretty much taken care of everyone. After my food was made I sat in to eat after about a hot minute in the line. I can imagine the irritation or frustration some of the customers felt having to WAIT that long despite it not being the young lady’s fault. As I was eating, the young lady called out the other two women who happened to appear after most of the rush was taken care of by the young lady and she was frustrated which was completely justified based on what I witnessed her being alone. What doesn’t sit right with me is this blonde haired lady started threatening the young lady with a write up stating she was being aggressive, loud and wasn’t allowed to be frustrated while on the floor. First of all this is COMPLETELY unprofessional from a leader standpoint to not calmly de-escalate the situation and instead fueled the young lady’s frustration around not getting support. Customers should ALWAYS come first and from what I witnessed today customers were the LAST thing the other two woman who appeared after the fact had in mind. The blonde haired lady threatened the write up and to punish the young lady by sending her home when her frustration of no help during PEAK times was 100% validated. What I ALSO didn’t like is based on how this young lady was being treated gave off stereotyping vibes givens she’s a young African American woman compared to the other staff present. They kept using terms of your being loud, your being aggressive, you need to calm down, you are always frustrated which came of racist given again she was TRULY justified for her feelings. I truly think the leaders in this building need to reflect on what core values and expectations are of running businesses in the food industry especially around CUSTOMER SATISFACTION and CUSTOMER SERVICE. Let alone RESPECT and SUPPORT for their team members. Truly disheartened by this situation and feel absolutely bad for the young lady who was disciplined for the lack of on the other...
Read moreThis place needs better management. I love Qdoba, it's one of my favorite "fast food" places and I was really stoked to finally get one in Monroe. The food is amazing and hard to really screw it up, but nearly every experience I've had at this store has been subpar compared to any other Qdoba I've been to.
First two visits I let things slide because it was a new store. Employees were still new and in training, so my burrito was kind of a mess and poorly wrapped. Second trip took forever because only one person was making the food, while the girl at the register just stood there as if she did not know how to do anything else other than cash people out.
Next two visits were both a little over an hour before close, and when I asked for Cilantro, minced onion, and Cotija in my burrito bowl and they told me those things were already put away because they were "about to close". Closing in an hour is not "about to close", and they were still kind of busy. It's not like I walked in at 5 minutes till close and there was no one else in there.
Tonight I arrived at 10:25 and the doors are locked. They are supposedly open until 11:00 on Saturdays (according to Google as well as the sign on the door). I really want this place to do well in Monroe and stay open, but stuff like this is going to kill...
Read moreMy husband and I went there last Monday for dinner before going to the movies. It was about 7:45pm and there were only 2 workers visible though I could hear others in the back doing dishes. The line was a MESS, with all the Cooler items just sitting on the line and not in their slots. It looked like she may have been in the process of cleaning and left all the items out and the sani rag there to help customers. My husband ordered a burrito and she sat the burrito down on the line with the tortilla touching the DIRTY sani rag. I asked her to replace his tortilla with a fresh, uncontaminated one. The workers could tell I was quite unpleased with the state of their line and offered us free sodas. I expected that once we sat down the worker would go back to cleaning, however what I'm assuming was the Manager came up front and all three stood there chatting for the duration of our visit leaving the line looking disgusting. The food on the hot side did not look appetizing and after our visit I then wondered how long the cold side had just been sitting on the counter instead of being at proper temperature. I regretted our decision to eat there and the money spent on our food. Thankfully we did not get sick...
