In late November, my wife and I went to Furniture Mart to look at different sectional options for our home. After spending a few hours looking and planning, we left with the 3 fabric samples, 3 different pricing options, and all the measurements we needed.
BUYING: Collin Gibbs was a great help, even though he was very busy with other customer appointments that day. He gave us space to think and discuss in between working with other customers. We left with a week to think over the purchase. Collin gave us his direct number to contact him, as well as his schedule in case we wanted to work with him again. Collin did a great job being attentive to our needs while not making us feel pressured to buy or overwhelmed. When we returned the following Saturday it wasn't as busy, and Collin quickly recognized us, greeted us, and remembered exactly what sectional we had been looking at.
SCHEDULING: We decided to order in the England 2400 series sectional because we could order separate modular pieces and make it fit our space. We were given an estimated delivery date about a month out. Collin was very transparent that it could even be 6-8 weeks depending on how busy the factory was with the holiday season. Surprisingly, we got a call that it would arrive about a week earlier than the anticipated. It was an easy process to set up the delivery date over the phone. The downside was not being able to choose an estimated delivery time when we chose the delivery date. However, about 2 days before the delivery, we were updated with a reasonable timeframe of 8am-11am on the scheduled date.
DELIVERY: We got a call from the driver when they were about 10 minutes away. Shortly after, they arrived at the house. The drivers were very polite and came inside before unloading to check where it would be placed. They were quick to bring in the furniture but also handled it very carefully. Before assembling the sectional pieces, they even helped us put felt pads on the feet so our hardwood floors would not get scratched up. They did a great job placing it exactly where shown.
The entire experience was smooth and easy. Collin was very patient and helpful, and the sectional looks absolutely amazing in our home!!! PERFECT FIT! Thanks Furniture Mart for a very...
Read moreWe bought a new house and were moving this week, trying to get settled in before my husband's military deployment next week. We came into the store on Veterans Day looking for options for either a sofa and loveseat or a sectional for the theater room in our new house, not even knowing there was a sale that day for veterans. We were dressed comfortably (due to moving), but came with money to spend, prepared to buy. For the first 15 minutes, not one sales person approached us. Several of them were standing in the store or walking around, not engaged with other customers, as it did not appear to be very busy at that time. We tried to make eye contact with 2 of them in the clearance room, as we had found a set that we liked and had some questions. Nothing. Neither of them came over. Both of them ended up assisting other customers who came in after us. After waiting several more minutes, we decided to shop elsewhere and started walking towards the front door. As we approached the front door, salesperson Nicole Lushanko gently approached us and asked if anyone had been helping us. We shared our frustration that, no, no one had even made an attempt to talk to or help us. She genuinely apologized and explained that she had just returned from her break. She asked if we were willing to stay long enough to see if she could help us. We agreed. We showed her the pieces we were considering and explained exactly what we were looking for. She answered questions about that set, then asked if she could show us some other pieces that she would recommend, matching what we were looking for. After showing us a few other pieces, we ended up purchasing a set at her recommendation, and were then advised of the discount for veterans that day. We set up delivery, she quickly and efficiently processed our order, and we were on our way to continue with moving. Nicole was fantastic. Low key, down to earth, helpful, honest and non-judgmental. All key traits I appreciate in any person, particularly a salesperson. The Furniture Mart almost lost our business for good that day, but thanks to Nicole we will be back in the future when we are looking for additional furniture. Thank you for your excellent...
Read moreHorrible customer service. Not the furniture mart store in Fridley but their customer service line. I had an incident with my couch and needed some damage fixed. I called the customer service line and they required me to purchase a piece of fabric over the phone. Mind you I sent a picture of the damage to the reps personal cell phone. She told me to order the part which cost me $100. 8 weeks later when the part arrived, I then had to schedule the service to come get it fixed. Another 6 weeks later when the guy showed up, he immediately said I had the wrong piece ordered, and on his device he said the request was put in to fix the wrong part of the couch! So not only was the wrong part ordered, the service request to him was incorrect! It gets better! He tells me that I can either have it shipped to their warehouse where it can be fixed OR I should just sew it myself... at this point, Iâm not going to pay to have it sent somewhere when Iâve already paid $100 for the wrong part. I call furniture mart and tell them I need the part refunded because it was their mistake that it was the wrong part. For the last 8 weeks Iâve been calling and they keep saying theyâll âcall me backâ. Ha what a joke. I finally called again today and the guy said they wonât be refunding me as it was âmy decisionâ to order the part. This company is a joke if you have an issue with the furniture, and on top of that the quality of the furniture sucks. Pillows start looking flat on couch, gets stretched easy. I will never shop with them again. Donât waste your time or get fooled by their sales. And youâre better off sewing your couch yourself then calling the customer care line đ even with warranty. Considering...
