My experience with the program at Fit Thereom has been nothing short of a nightmare. I initially signed up with great anticipation, only to find myself facing a series of insurmountable obstacles that forced me to withdraw my participation the same day I signed up. Little did I know that the real challenge would come from the gym's utterly inept management and their complete lack of empathy. Shortly after signing up, my mother had fallen ill and required immediate care, compelling me to relocate and become her full-time caregiver. Understandably, I had no choice but to cancel my participation in the program. I contacted the gym's management to explain my situation and request a refund of at least a portion of my deposit. However, what followed was an excruciatingly frustrating experience that lasted for weeks. Each of my emails took a whole week to receive a response, leaving me in a perpetual state of uncertainty and financial strain. To make matters worse, their response was nothing short of heartless. The management not only displayed a complete lack of understanding but also refused to consider any compromise regarding the return of my deposit. Their unwavering stance showed a complete disregard for the genuine and unexpected circumstances I was facing. It is simply unfathomable to me that a business claiming to provide a service focused on personal growth and well-being could exhibit such callousness and inflexibility. As a caregiver, my responsibilities have been overwhelming, and the last thing I needed was to battle with a gym that seemed intent on squeezing every penny out of me, regardless of the circumstances. A truly customer-oriented gym would have understood the gravity of my situation and, at the very least, offered a partial refund or a credit for future use. Instead, Fit Thereom displayed a level of apathy and unwillingness to accommodate its customers that is disgraceful and entirely incompatible with any notion of ethical business practices. In summary, my experience with Fit Thereom and their six-week program has been an absolute disaster. Their management's sluggish communication and utter lack of compassion in the face of genuine adversity is utterly deplorable. I strongly advise anyone considering joining this gym to think twice before subjecting themselves to such abhorrent treatment. I had support/documentation to get out of my contract appropriately, and they twisted my arm in ways of rejecting my several polite attempts of ending my contract with hostility, immaturity, and lack of respect/professionalism. Don't get me wrong, I loved the workout routines, clients/workout buddies, and SOME of the instructors. A few of the instructors are sour apples for the business. The interaction for ending my contract was given with an attitude, instead of a hate to see you go (lol). I was charged an extra month when I was canceling weeks in advance, so I had to go through my bank to cancel that hefty fee as well. That is what did me there too, no respect. Also, there is a disrespectful instructor that swears and acts inappropriately with their clients. Vulgar music was playing and a parent suggested that they didn't want their child to listen to one song, and the instructor boldly and rudely replied by not caring. I can listen to any of it, but if someone is uncomfortable... the instructor should have at least handled it better, but she had several moments of trashy moments during routines and interactively. It made it overall uncomfortable and the rest made me dread the days she worked those routines. The others are supportive and positive. There are two that this place could live without. This place is more driven for weight loss. However, I wish there wasn't a bias of support, professionalism, and a better ending. I'd recommend to try it out and its OKAY to say no from getting locked into a contract too. I was fine with it for months until I had to move away, legitimate reason. I'd look into the other places and prices before coming here. Even with the documentation, they still wouldn't let me go. I even tried to talk about the other options (packages) before I had to leave for good, but no one cared to push forward. They want their monthly fee. I tried all my options to stick around until moving. I gave it time and a polite approach. Charging me an extra month is what got me mad. Read moreMy review is an average of my experience. Overall, this program works. I'm on week 5 of the 6 week challenge and have already lost over 5% body fat and have gained about the same in muscle mass. My accountability coach Ashley has been awesome at making changes and giving tips on my meal plan. I'm really seeing results! What brings my rating for this place down is the fact that one of my favorite coaches, Lexi, was let go... in the middle of a challenge no less. Lexi was everything you could ask for in a coach; knowledgeable (has a degree in biology), bubbly and welcoming attitude, had modifications for every exercise, caring, motivating, and just made you WANT to come to class. After taking one of her classes, I quickly gravitated towards attending most of her classes, sometimes doing a double if she was teaching 2 in a row. If Lexi was teaching, I was attending. As a Type 1 diabetic, my blood sugars can respond to exercise in different ways. I found that cardio raises it so I avoid intense cardio workouts. Her workouts were perfect for me. In addition, her care for her clients goes beyond just the workout. She always took a moment during class to check in with me and make sure my sugar was stable and I was okay. After the challenge, I planned on continuing as a monthly member, but I don't see that happening now. This place just isn't the same without her and I just haven't connected with any other coaches as well as Lexi. Once you connect with a coach so well, then have them ripped away from you, it's a huge demotivator. I hope they know what a huge loss...
