Great American Cookies — Local services in Friendswood

I’ve ordered cookie cakes many times in the past from Great American Cookies and have always had a positive experience. However, this past weekend, my experience was the complete opposite!

The gentleman who took my order in person on Friday, 1/24, was great. He was helpful and attentive to details pertaining to my order. I requested to have the cookie cake ready at 1pm on Saturday, 1/25. Unfortunately, when I arrived to the Friendswood, TX location at 1:30pm, my cake was not ready and the nice gentleman was not there. Instead, there was a woman who was far from friendly, handling my order along with others who, too, were waiting on their cakes well past their requested pick up time. The woman had poor customer service and did not express her sincerest apologies but instead, made excuses due to online ordering..

As pictured, the cake decorating was rushed and the cake was not cooked completely through. The cake was doughy, thin, and crumbled apart. We even received complaints from guests at our daughter’s birthday party! As a frequent customer of Great American Cookies for cookie cake need’s, I am utterly dissatisfied! Customer service needs serious improvement along with the quality of the goods that are sold!

I called to make an order for my son’s birthday. I explained to the lady what I wanted and then she wanted me to pay over the phone. I opted to go to the store and make my order in person since I called at 230pm and wanted to pick up at 4pm. I told her that I would be by at 4pm so we could go over the design together. The main reason I wanted to go in person was because she could not spell my son’s name over the phone without error. Communication was lacking.

I told her I would be there at 4pm and she said no. She’s not making the cake. If I’m paying $50 bucks, I just want to communicate to make sure it’s correct. Very rude to deny my order because I wanted be able to communicate it was correct vs paying $50 bucks for it to be...

Had an idea of getting a sandwich cookie cake made but couldn’t find anyone to do it. Finally decided to just make one myself and to buy the individual cookie cakes from Great American Cookies. The day of, I went into the store and the guy at the counter heard me talking about what I needed to do to make this big cookie sandwich cake and he said they could do that too! In fact he said he could make it within the hour! I was so pleasantly surprised and relieved!! The party was in an hour and he texted me when it was done so I was right on time. The cookie cake was DELICIOUS and what was left stayed soft for days!! It was a hit! Will definitely go to them...
