I have to add to my review for people reading in order to decide if they should go to them for phone repairs.. DO NOT listen to the star reviews that are any less than a 5. Not downgrading anyone’s experience that may have truly believed it was a bad one for them. But there is no way I can see them intentionally giving anything but 10+ service and professionalism. If there were bad things experienced, it HAD to of been beyond their control. They fixed my phone before they even knew if I was going to pay. And when I didn’t have my correct wallet with me, they continued fixing it anyway, never knowing if I was even going to return or pay. It was done and ready when I returned, AND like I say in this review below, they have yet to charge me for my second phone until they know 100% that they have fixed it.

They went out of their way to make sure I was completely satisfied. The best customer service I have ever received. I dealt with two young men who were soooo helpful and went way above and beyond for me. Their prices are amazing, their work is exceptional and speedy (had not only my phone screen repaired but also fixed the charger port that had stopped working in less than 30 minutes!) their prices are incredible. I can’t say enough about how impressed I was with every single thing! This is the place you HAVE to go to if your phone has messed up AT ALL before thinking u just need a new one. Oh and I must add, they kept another phone of ours that was broken over night to fix, with no charge, just to see if once it was repaired, it would still work. No charge to u if it ends up still not functioning properly! Ten stars easy!

I recently had an issue with my Microsoft Surface, which is less than three years old. The battery stopped taking a charge even though the LED light on the AC adapter was still lit. I just figured it was time to replace the internal battery.

I called around to about a half dozen computer repair businesses, and the ones willing to do the job were quoting over $200 including the cost of a new battery. Two of the businesses didn’t even want to do the job because the screen on a Surface is very fragile and has a tendency to break when removed. The last call I made was to John at Edge Phone Repair in Friendswood. Not only did John say he wouldn’t have a problem removing the screen, he quoted the best price for doing a battery replacement.

But I ended up getting a little lucky. It turns out my battery was fine… it was the charging port itself that gave me the finger. So John just updated the BIOS in my Surface and made one of the USB-C ports (that I never use) the new charging port. I had to buy a new AC adapter with a USB-C connection, but those are relatively cheap on Amazon. So instead of a $190+ repair bill for a new battery, my walk out price for John’s repair was just $75 and I had my Surface back the very next day!

Took my tablet in because it was not charging properly because the charger port was not getting a good connection and was very loose. They insisted that was not the problem even though when the cord was moved the lightning bolt would go off and on. They said it needed a new battery. Waited several days for battery to come in then I receive a call stating the charging port was no good. Just like I told them to begin with. Had to wait several more days and got a call tablet was fixed. Took tablet home and the SC card side of the brand new charger port was not working. Was told they would get it fixed by next day. Another call that tablet was fixed. When I got tablet home this time you could not charge it. It would only show a red X when plugging it in. Took back to edge again and they plugged it in too and only a red X. So at this point they tell me they are getting another new charger port and it would be another few days. After a few days I was told once again my tablet was ready. I took it home and to know surprise my tablet has the same problem it did when I brought it in. Charger port moves around when it's plugged in and won't stay charging. I payed over a $100.00 to have my tablet fixed and got nothing but the run around for almost two weeks. Swore they would call me and get this problem fixed and they have not responded to me yet over two weeks later. Very disappointed as I and alot of family use this place.
