We ordered an entertainment center with the electric fireplace. Experience in the store was fine. Looked at the item in store and it looked fine. Ordered it. Was told it was on backorder 4-6 weeks, which was fine as well. Was told it was made in the US, which was what we wanted. So we were very excited about getting it set up in our new home. On the day of delivery the pieces arrived in boxes and we watched them being removed from the boxes and set up in our family room. Everything from a distance looked good. Until the delivery guys left. Once we went up close to the unit we so all the imperfections, dings, cracks, holes in various odd spots, and indented lines in the wood. The two towers on either side didn't stand up straight either, with one of them constantly tilting side to side. Aside from the middle piece that had the fireplace, the rest was very flimsy and we were worried they'd fall over because they were not sitting properly against the middle unit. We complained to the store and got $100 off (we paid over $2,000 originally). We sent pictures of all the damage and were told it is supposed to look that way. They called it "distressed wood." Well we were distressed just looking at it with all the damage it had all around it. This was the absolute worst, most poorly built piece of furniture we have ever ordered. And the response we got from the store was initially OK but we felt cheated in the end. We spent the whole weekend trying to sand the unit down ourselves, and painted it, and tried to address the tilting of the tower by sawing off wood from the bottom that should never have been there in the first place. Read moreOrdered a couch that was supposed to be picked up a month later. NO ONE at the store had any decency to call to let me know that it would be delayed. Every month I had to call to receive updates. Finally after 2 months I received a call that the couch is here for pick up. When I got home and unloaded the couch I realized that there was a MAJOR DEFECT with the couch cushion,incorrect stitching. Called the store, the owner only offered for me to bring back the couch for a return, exchange or to get it fixed at their location. My mistake in trusting them to give a couch that wasn’t defective. If there was damaged where the cause was unknown I would of accepted it since I opted to pick it up but it was clear that this was a DEFECT that was made by their company. The owner claims their technician does not travel to customers homes. Corporate told me its up the the owners discretion. If the owner stood behind their products they should have sent the technician to me and fix a problem that was clearly made by THEM, not have me do all the work and drive back and forth to fix a problem...
Read moreMy experience overall was wonderful. Jennifer was awesome and the store was clean. It was hot but very clean. I went in for the Grey bookcase storage bed but realized that there wasn't a trundle version, it would've been great if they had a trundle version with the three drawers at the top and the trundle at the bottom. I had to go with the Priscilla trundle bed instead. So I'm semi happy 😊. I wish badcock had a great variety like the other furniture stores, they seem to be a bit behind but because I already had an account with badcock, I decided to use it. Added... After putting the bed together, which they did a great job. They took the dividers that makes the trundle bed a drawer, so I could only use it as a bed. Still happy with badcock......
