Today is bittersweet you guys, my daughter was born 6 days ago here at OPMC ās Labor & Delivery Department via C- Section performed by OB Dr. Hyler & all accompanied parties! The Nurses and HCAās anesthesiologist team were more than phenomenal during the whole process. Especially Nurse Ashley! Prior to my scheduled Cesarean , she helped me on a matter that was crucial in becoming resolved in a timely manner and though it was not her responsibility or place to handle such a matter for me since the OB and his staff were the ones responsible for helping this issue, she still took time out of her busy day to make the necessary phone calls for me and was the only one able to help me resolve the issue. She was extremely nice and bubbly from the very beginning and I believe the overcompensation of love and support I received on her behalf deserves a shout out! Thank you Ashley! My experience was overall better because of you! Along with the Anesthesiologist team, all were making sure I was good and comfortable during the whole process and showed me just how amazing Hyler and his team collaborated efficiently and professionally like a true family! That kind of atmosphere allowed my blood pressure to maintain at a safe rate allowing the surgery to go smoothly for all involved specially myself, the patient. We were done in less that 20 minutes and out to the recovery room where unfortunately we had to pause and wait a long while for our room to be ready but the staff made it so easy to handle and avoid it becoming an irritable mess for my family! Instead they kept us calm and relaxed while we were their priority the entire time waiting for the room! They even allowed my mom and son to come in the recovery room and visit the newborn for a couple hours while we waited which was the best part because I had family blowing up my phone from the time she was born @ 12:54 through the long hours of waiting and not knowing if we would get a room in time for my family to even visit that day! Allowing my son to meet his sister even though we didnāt have a room and technically in an area that was not allowed to have anybody but staff members pass through! They didnāt have to do that but yet again Nurse Ashley had my back! Fast forward the days and I can tell you this experience became even better as days go by. Every single nurse and pediatrician we dealt with were remarkable at welcoming my daughter and family into their day and truly showed they loved to work for us. The FOOD was SO GOOD š btw! Also, the entire L&D dept. were willing to work around my familyās schedule so that when I needed, they would watch Brooklynn for us while we got things done my other son to and from school and back to his dad. After a few days I was discharged but my daughter unfortunately was not so they allowed me AND dad to stay in the same room with baby Brooklynn as Boarding Guests instead of patients and chose to still treat us as such, feeding us trays the whole time and bringing us water ice and snacks like cookies and fresh lemonade! Today is finally the day I get to bring my daughter home and itās bittersweet saying goodbye to the staff here in the labor and delivery department at HCA Orange Park Medical Center! Applauding everybody that made our experience a remarkable & memorable experience my family will never forget! So SHOUT OUT to Orange Park Hospital FIVE STARS I fully recommend having your baby here vs St Vincentās or Baptist Hospital!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe just brought our Baby Boy home from HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital after a CS delivery, and would like to thank the outstanding team of professionals for taking such excellent care of us! The moment we arrived on the second floor at 6:45a, we were greeted by a group of nurses and staff that were just coming on duty, full of energy and confidence! After we checked in we were greeted by RN Jutta and RN Kalei, who did all the pre-op procedures, explaining everything they were doing as they did it. We really appreciated this because we were able to understand all of the procedures every step of the way. Then the anesthesiologist team came in ("Dr. John" and CRNA Steve Wildasin) and explained what they were going to do, and fielded our questions, and then, everything was completed and it was time to go to the delivery room! When Dr. Bradley Corbin came in, with all of the team members in place and prepared to begin, I prayed aloud for the Lord's great blessings to be on this very special delivery, and Dr. Corbin said "Amen!" I then asked if it was okay to play a song. CRNA Wildasin asked, "Do you have a song for a CS?" And I replied, "Ohhh, yes!" and immediately queued up "Honey in the Rock," by Brooke Ligertwood. While my wife and I were "behind the blue privacy curtain" set up between us and the doctors & nurses doing the delivery, we heard all the communications going on between the medical professionals as they were doing their various jobs, and just prayed silently and listened to the beautiful praise & worship music. Soon, our baby Jeremiah was delivered and taken over to a station where they had warm lighting and measuring scales, and I was invited over to greet him and take photos, while the surgical team completed their work on my wife. Then he was placed in my arms and I was allowed to introduce him for the first time to his mama! Then they moved us to our room on the same floor, in a different section of the hospital. All of the nurses at HCA are top professionals and very capable! You can tell just by the way they carry themselves, the great confidence with which they perform their duties, and the look on their faces! You can tell that they LOVE what they do and genuinely CARE about their patients! This is the biggest factor in why we wholeheartedly recommend and endorse HCA Orange Park to any expectant mothers who are looking for the best care possible for the delivery of their babies! We would like to personally thank just some of the amazing people that work there and were part of the awesome team that blessed us: Dr. Nikki Rowan, Dr. Bradley Corbin, Dr. John (chief anesthesiologist), RN Jutta, RN Kalei, Surgical Techs Donna & Coretta, RN Robin S., Dr. Phyllis Toon, Suzanne Jones, Director of Women and Children's Services, RN Lynn, RN Donna, RN Katie, RN Kelsea, Nurse Leader RN Heather, RN Cheryl, RN Centa, Nurse Manager Keisha Franklin, MSN, RNC-MNN, Clinical Nurse Manager, Kim, RN Toya, Carina Cunningham, Patient Benefit Advisor, and Angela George, Financial Counselor. (We know we weren't able to write down the names of everyone... very sorry! We greatly appreciate each and every one of you all!!!) Thank you to everyone at HCA FL Orange Park Hospital! We could not have asked for or even imagined such an outstanding team of professionals being assembled to take such great care of all our needs during this very special time in our lives! We love you all, and thank the Good Lord for blessing us through each and every one of you! Colossians 3:15-17: Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOk so I am going to simply tell the truth and you can judge for yourself. That's the best way I think to make informed decisions. OK so here goes. My name is Joseph and my wife Sarah just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, however getting it done was not an easy or fun experience. It was very scary at the end. So here it is we show up initially and have doc Toon and this rn named Ashley who were amazing, they were encouraging my wife and me we felt in loving caring hands and had no worries. My wife has had two natural and two sea section. And was now looking for a vback. She absolutely did not want to be cut open at all. So she got her water broke by doc Toon and all was well. She had another nurse named Joy that was also absolutely amazing loving women. And both were very experienced. They really had us believing we were going to safe natural delivery. Then after poor Sarah had been laboring for 35 hours or more she finally had her water broke and was about 6cm dilated and 7 hrs water broke so.. we still had plenty of time and the baby was great. Heart monitor active and fast like 145 average bpm she was on point no distress at all. Then as soon as the shifts changed we got this man named doc Corbin. Now on first meeting I see an unshaved long scruffy hair bad posture just really unprofessional looking doctor. Like if you seen him on the street would have mistaken him for a bum. Now before he asks my wife hardly anything he had been in the room for five minutes. He goes "well your not really progressing well and we probably need to get ready to sea section". All the color left my face I was soo scared to hear that and his lack of compassion was insurmountable. He couldn't seem to care less. All the progress my wife had made seemed for not. She was so scared and devastated. RN Hailey even was very nice to my wife then turned on her and even admitted she was personal friends with Mr. Corbin outside of work. And mentioned how good his cuts are and all this crap. So she reeled my wife in then really took the wind out her sails. That was not very nice. Women of all people should understand those situations. So then my wife proceeds to ask if in his little short career has he lost a baby or mother during surgery. He wouldn't say but he teared up and couldn't hardly even look us in the face. So I tell him she's scared and he is trying to sweeten up the sea section and Sarah ain't having it or I.So Kailey suppose to check on her and help flip my wife and she really can't and says she's praying for her but leaves her for about 2 and a half hrs to just be scared and worry like they just wanna gang up and cut her open. Mind you it's major surgery and pays like 20,000 dollars. And he definitely acted like he only cared about cutting her. Then something amazing happens. We had prayed together for hrs and the baby dropped all the way and she was fully dilated. Then the nurses are all ready and in the room and Mr Corbin took his sweet sweet time getting in the room. I mean my wife was keeping the baby in so hard at this point it's ridiculous. So unprofessional it's pathetic. Then to add insult to injury he had the balls to tell her to be quiet during her labor. Dude if you weren't needed to deliver my daughter I personally would have showed you just how soft you really are brother. You were a sad pathetic excuse for a doctor and I wouldn't recommend you to deliver anything. Worst experience ever with this guy. He looked at us almost with discust. That's how my wife described it . I agreed with her as well. He was only a kid himself and I had zero confidence in him. However thank God it was a safe normal delivery. So if your considering a hospital. I would consider hard. Make good choices. No women should go...
