Variant Vault Comics and Cards — Local services in Fruit Cove

Unfortunately, my wife and I were given contradictory information on how this location buys comics. We initially called asking about ten short boxes of bagged and boarded books we've collected over the years, the newest comics being about eight years old. We were quoted it would be about $60 for each box we brought in, and that we "could get more if we listed exactly what we had"

We needed money fast for veterinary emergency bills, so we spent hours upon hours the past two days alphabetizing and itemizing every comic book we had. We then sent the owners an email with the list, intending to be in asap by the third day since calling.

Instead, we get an email the next morning saying that they aren't looking for any of the books we had, and can't accept anything from our collection at all.

My wife and I are left here confused and frustrated that we were initially told $60 per box, more if we supplied a list, did all of that work to get a list together, then told we did all of that for nothing and that "$60 per box is only if they're accepting what's in them"

It feels very strange to ask for a listing as to check values if what's in the boxes... if the short boxes have a set offer amount despite what's in them? If the offer amount is set to $60 despite what's in them, why are we being denied?

We unfortunately have to go elsewhere. It seems that this location is much better about retail selling than buying product, so keep that in mind if you're thinking about...

The owners are the kindest people and more than willing to help and share their knowledge with you. Lydia took the time to search for specific comics with me and when we couldn’t find them, she walked me through the different channels to get them! I can’t say enough...

The family who runs this shop are so kind, they sell singles, boxes and packs of pokemon. They are transparent about the market being as bad as it is so they price as fairly as possible! They make packs for kids who don’t have a fair chance at getting cards and it melts my heart. There’s so much good about this little store and I sincerely am proud to give them...
