Very judgemental staff. Very uneducated doctor with no bed side manner. The nurse who was also passive at first actually ended up knowing more than the doctor on how to treat a simple strain. Still getting second opinion on actual blood clot over sprain because these people were not impressive at all. We made the choice to go to St Luke's rather than St Al's across the street from our home. As previously commented this place does represent St Luke's doctors or nurses. Check in nurse great. Stats nurse explained what she was doing and was personable. Male nurse that made immediate presence without introduction and I had to ask who he was wouldn't even shake my hand. Doctor Johnson was horrible. Had no solution for pain management, other than drugs. I asked what can I do for my injury. Should I wrap it? Ice it, I was even suggesting items I might be able to do for relief. Scary part was issues of past blood clots and he didn't even scan my leg.
Written from bed on Christmas. I am so sorry we put him out by seeking medical advice. No parent wants to go to er for fun on Christmas eve. No one takes a blood clot lightly. Hopefully it is just a tear or strain that I had been feeling prior that doctor says then popped and made me drop to the ground. I am sure it is fine. Just as long as I take my drugs prescribed...
Read moreHad a doctor treat me as a number and generalized me as another person of my age, did not treat anything I was in for basically just said here’s a pill and that’s it come to find out there is more issues that weren’t tested for at all and also said that my diet is “garbage” and idk about other people, but if I were a doctor I would not be saying that about my patients but that’s just me just terrible doctor in general didn’t run any test like I said that pertained to my symptoms at all. Just flat out terrible I mean personally I thought doctors were here to help with health and the well being of people not just giving someone a pill and basically saying “this is the only issue you have good luck” I mean I had to constantly tell the doctor can you do this? what about this? and still just got pushed to the side like a “typical 20 year old” those were the doctors notes safe to say I won’t be going to that...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE WITH OUT OF STATE INSURANCE, THEY REFUSE TO BILL!
There's a lot I want to hit on and this goes for st lukes as a whole. I have been seen in the er, urgent care, maternity, imaging. They work with mostly traveling nurses and their doctors are timed and cannot go over time with patients or they get scolded. The billing department is very untrained and to get things billed correctly takes about 5 to 10 calls.
Within the last couple of months we are told they are refusing to bill our insurance and we are self pay now. Why? Because they are creating a monopoly after initating their own health plan recently. I know I'm not the only with out of state group insurance in this area going through the same thing. So, I hope the ceo can stop thinking about the money and maybe think about this community and the people it serves. Shame on you and hope there's an upcoming lawsuit because this...
