We found a used truck online and submitted all of the paperwork to purchase it prior to driving to Fruitland, my wife worked closely with salesman Paul via phone and email. Paul was professional, polite and efficient in putting the deal together. The truck's online listing stated it had been through the dealership's shop. When we arrived to sign for the truck, I did a once over inspection and found a seep in 2 transmission lines, we asked that the lines be repaired as part of the truck deal. The salesman asked management and reported back that they would fix it as long as "it was no more than a couple hundred dollars". We asked for more assurance that the lines would be repaired prior to us taking the truck, the sales manager, Todd, was polite but still took no more responsibility for the repair. When the General Manager, Nick and his ego came outside is when things went south. At first Nick would not even speak directly to us, he did so through his employees; when he finally did speak to us it was condescending and arrogant. I feel sorry for his sales staff as he did nothing to support their work on this sale, which was ultimately lost. Nick touted the 35 years of integrity of Steve's Hometown, however the way he communicated and his actions were in stark contrast to that. In Nick's world integrity must mean being okay selling a vehicle that "has been through the shop" but has visible seeping lines, he is hoping that most customers won't crawl on the ground to look under the vehicle. In Nick's world integrity must mean speaking down to customers and not supporting your sales staff. In Nick's world integrity means nothing. After our experience I would not recommend buying anything from Steve's Hometown as long as Nick is the one calling the shots.

They changed my oil pump I'm pretty sure they forgot to put oil in the truck. I drove 500 miles and a low oil sign on my dash came on I have never seen this before I pulled over and checked the oil it didn't even register on the dipstick most likely because the motor was running just shortly before. Pulled into the rest area and set for 3 hours before checking it again barely enough oil to register on dipstick. I called them and let them know about it they asked me to bring the truck in. I said oh yeah and the AC's no longer working. After 6 hours of being in their shop this is what they told me it is normal for the truck to burn 4 or 5 quarts of oil after changing out an oil pump they said they always double check everything so they know for sure that they put oil in the truck they said they also forgot to tighten up all the bolts on the AC if they double check everything how is it that my AC was not working? Their word against mine what should I do?

I had stopped by the dealership on the morning of 08/24/23 to see when the chip repair man visits the dealership. As I was about to leave, I saw Tom Schaffer, who had worked with me when I bought a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado from the dealership. I went in to say hi and sitting fairly close to his desk, on the showroom floor, was a 2020 Corvette Stingray LT3, with the optional performance package, in a very eye catching blue color. I hadn't been looking to purchase a vehicle at this time, but as we conversed, Tom made me a very good deal on my 2020 Dodge Challenger Hellcat, as a trade in. That afternoon after the paperwork was signed, I drove home in a show stopper Corvette Stingray. I have driven the Corvette for just over a week now and I am very impressed with how appealing to the eye the appearance of the car is and its performance and agility. A great big THANK YOU to Tom. This is two beauties you have helped me to buy.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I took my cadillac here for a fuel leak. They rans tests on it while I waited in the lobby and couldn't figure it out. Asked if I could bring it back so they could have more time, keep it over night. Not a problem, some issues are harder to find than others. Brought my vehicle back said they would let me know what they find. A couple weeks go by without a word. I call to check on status. Was told they had to take parts out and ship them out to get pressure tested. Again not a problem. Slightly annoyed I didn't hear anything after 2 weeks, but I am trusting the process at this point. A few more weeks go by with no news. I call again. They think they have it figured out. Wasn't it. A week goes by no call. I call again they FINALLY dropped the fuel tank and think they have it figured out. After 5 weeks I finally get a call and they want to know my warranty information. I give it to them. He calls back says I'll owe 100 dollars and the rest will be taken care of. Perfect, the part is ordered he tells me with the storms it might take a couple extra days to get here, again not a problem, I understand they cannot control the weather. 2 weeks go by and nothing. I call again. My part came in, but there are other cars in the bays that will be finished before mine. Ok, I understand they can't stop working on everything while they wait for my part to come in. Another week goes by nothing I call again. "I think we only have one cadi here so it must be yours it is on the lift and should be done today or tomorrow." Perfect, I call again after 5 days. "Your part isn't here yet, did we have that ordered?" Starting to get extremely frustrated. A total of 9 weeks went by and I finally get my car back. Good thing I bought a truck from them the day I took my cadi in or I would have been without a car for 9 weeks for a feul issue! Now the truck I bought from them needs transmission work after owning it just a couple of months. I will never work with this dealership again. I have talked to others with the same experience. For a small town dealership I would...

We only have GOOD things to say about Steve's Hometown Chevrolet. Specifically, we want to recognize, Nick (GM), Eric (Service Mgr.) and salesman, Jacob. We bought a 2023 3500 Sierra in March 2023. We have had 5 situations with a specific code, P11D5, related to emissions. We have had it in the shop quite extensively, some jobs were quick, one job they had to remove the dashboard, and stand on their heads to go over and above, literally for us! We had the light come on again, last week. We took it in and had many discussions about all of our options. We bought and unbought a brand new identical truck, except it was a 2025. Nick, was going to make us a wonderful, supreme deal....but, we backed out within 12 hours. There was no dirty looks, or mean comments, from them. Why? Because unlike other dealerships, they DO CARE about the customer. Yes, they really do. We found out from another GMC dealer, that buying a new truck won't fix our problem, because the problem is caused by my husbands driving pattern of the diesel truck. Diesel trucks are NOT meant for short trips, they are meant to be driven at least until it reaches its operating temperature of 210, then drive for at least 20 minutes. My husbands job is 2 minutes away, so basically M-F, he was putting more soot into his engine area, and causing a problem. We appreciate the honesty from the other dealer, and it was confirmed by Steve's employees. Long story short, we have decided to keep our 2023 GMC Sierra with only 18,000 miles on it, and make better driving patterns. So, today, my husband drove my little Honda CRV to work. Is he happy? Nope, but, will he do it, yep! If you want to buy a vehicle, from someone you can trust to sell you a vehicle that is decent, and then a service department that doesn't lie to you, come see: Jacob in sales, Nick as the GM, and Eric in service who will shoot straight with you. We did, and we will never deal with anyone else. I know this is long, but so much to...
