I've been here twice and both experiences were pretty awful. Last night people were just hanging out on the side and aisles like they didn't have seats and weren't suppose to be there and were talking through the ENTIRE show and when I say "talking" they were shouting over the music. I saw no point in bringing this the ushers or security's attention because they were standing right there; they're probably the ones that let them in without tickets. Shows I go to in Dallas, security does not allow you to do this because it is a fire safety hazard.
We stopped at the Skyline bar to get a drink -stood at the bar, IDs in hand waiting on service that never came. The lady bartender with the dark brown hair and glasses served everyone that walked in but us. I totally get that people cater to their friends or regulars but that's not a reason to ignore other patrons that are willing to pay. We decided to go down the ways to the Palladium bar and the beardy dude was not much better. He did actually acknowledge us which was a plus but he severely lacked customer service skills. If I ask you what you have in a bottle, the fact that any bottled beer has to go in a cup is really not important to me just tell me what you have to drink. All these experiences just confirm my preference to go to Choctaw in Durant and Grant. I won't be returning to Winstar. The only good thing about this place is the free coffee, the coffee was the highlight of my night. Good...
Read moreDon’t waste your money on a concert here - the venue is awful! We saw a show in Tulsa Friday night and it was so amazing we went to WinStar to see it again the next day. The performance itself was every bit as good, but the venue made our experience miserable. The Ticketmaster map doesn’t give any indication that the front half of the room is not sloped, so if you’re a short person like me you’re not going to be able to see anything - even up close. We ended up abandoning our seats and going all the way to the back row where temporary stadium seats were in place so we could at least see the screens. Then we noticed that there were no spotlights on the talent - their faces and bodies were dark both on stage and on the screens! Even worse, the camerawork was terrible - there were very few shots of the headliner, and there were NO closeups of his face the entire show. So we paid $75 each to sit in the back row looking at musicians whose bodies were pitch black and only showed on the screens from a distance. The band was incredible, but the venue ruined the show. Skip concerts here and go see them at Riverwind or Riverspirit if you have the chance -...
