We came here for a late lunch (2:30pm) on Thursday. We walked up to the hostess stand and Shey immediately welcomed us, she was very busy cleaning the dining area, and perked up when she saw us, which was awesome.
She let us pick our table and told us she would also be our server. We both ordered the Silver Margarita. She said she was going to let us look over the menu while she went to make our drinks. We were both blown away as we said to each-other… WOW, she literally does everything here and still has a happy-go-lucky positive attitude.
Shey came back with our Margaritas about 5 minutes later, then took our food order. I ordered the Margherita Flatbread Pizza, and my spouse ordered the Spaghetti and meatballs w/o cheese. She told us she would put in our order, and come back with our salad and breadsticks. We were overjoyed to learn our meals came with salad and breadsticks, could this place really get any better?
Our margaritas were fantastic, and as we sipped away at them, Shey came right out with our salad and breadsticks. The salad was delicious, reminded me of Olive Garden’s. The breadsticks were warm, came with a side of butter, and were whole wheat. They were delicious as well.
As we finished up or salads, Shey came out with our entrees. The potion sizes are huge! Each of the meatballs on my spouse’s spaghetti were literally almost the size of my fist. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, we didn’t have any room left for dessert on this visit.
To wrap it up, this was a delicious meal, with fantastic service. The restaurant didn’t have many diners at the time we visited, so we really felt like VIP’s. Shey was very attentive in keeping our drinks full, removing empty plates from the table, and checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal.
I highly, highly, highly recommend Vino’s, and make sure you ask for Shey, she will take care of you. I would definitely...
Read moreVino’s Italian Kitchen has a traditional atmosphere but feels a bit dreary inside. While inside, I tried to figure out why, was it old fixtures? Was it a lack of energy in the restaurant? Was it the cigarette smoke lingering inside and sticking to everything? I’m not sure but I hope it gets a little work done. However, the main culprit behind the rating was the food. I believe the food is where a restaurant is made or broken. We had the Cajun chicken and pasta, let me tell you, it is a no go. Anyone who has reheated chicken for a prep meal knows what reheated chicken breast tastes like. It is dry, tough, and tasteless. That’s exactly what we received, without a doubt. I would BET anything on it. The pasta itself was fine but the dish was clumsily put together with grilled green bell peppers and bits of reheated sausage. I just can’t recommend you eat here based on the food alone. The host and greeting station at the restaurant also needs work. I dislike the awkward stand for few minutes at the empty podium while the employees continue and complete their conversation and then ask if we’ve already been helped. (No, between you talking to the only other possible host, while watching us at the corner of your eye, no one has come up from behind and helped me) Our server was kind and helpful, she came by several times and definitely covers everything that a server should. She had several tables in the section and I’m sure is consistent. So great job on the servers (see, it...
Read moreHORRIBLE Experience!!! Saturday, June 8th... First, wife and I we were put on a waiting list and told about an hour and a half with a restaurant that had many empty tables. We checked back about an hour later and were seated. At this time, staff was attentive until our order was made. It took about 15 minutes for our appetizer of artichoke dip to show up. Salad showed up 15 minutes after finishing the dip. By this time, tea glasses were empty, which they filled. Our entrees show up about 35 minutes after we were done with our salad. By this time, our tea glasses were empty again, which they said they would be right back to fill...never showed up. The entrees were hot and fresh, but not that good, just our opinion of what we ordered. Once we finished our entrees, about 10 minutes of eating, without any drinks, we once again continued the waiting game for about 20 minutes, to order a single dessert and remind the waitress of our empty tea glasses. Amaretto cheesecake showed up about 10 minutes later and still not tea in our glasses. I asked for our check at that time since I knew it would take 10 minutes or longer to get it. We ate the cheesecake and the check showed up about 10 minutes later. At no point did anyone ever apologize for the long wait times or even offer an explanation. We were sitting at our table for over an hour and a half with only 1 glass of tea each. Never will we go back to Vino's at...
