Mothers day, Sunday dinner. Busy and should 40 minutes in line at 4:30, got in about 5:10. Salad bar, 4⭐. Lacking labels, but everything fresh and variety. Italian, pizza looked ok but didn't try. They had pizza ovens. Chicken parm was sad and soggy. Sausage and peppers & olives were best. 2⭐. Mexican, enchilada was good, queso(added on top of broc/cauliflower)barbacoa, 3⭐. Meats, fresh brisket. It tended to dry out quickly. Turkey was not dry. Fried chicken was meh, chicken fried steak was yuck. 2⭐. Asian, was very limited but lo mein was ok, fried rice looked dry, potstickers were good, and egg rolls were ok. Dessert was best. Large selection of cheesecake and cakes. Cobblers were best and blueberry & strawberry cheesecake(s) and loved the extra thick flan. Coffee was great too. The bread pudding was very dry, 4⭐. $119 total with tip. We added another $10 on the table for our server, his selection was in the right corner by salad bar and Italian. He was doing a great job with how busy it was and he inherited a dirty section from previous server. I wish I remembered his name to give him a shout out! Sorry!
Sunday brunch is definitely worth visiting. The weakest point is the American breakfast items as they were all frozen or overcooked oatmeal. Eggs were great, they need more than 1 person working the omelet station. Recommend making a taco station and pancake station for fresh flapjacks or even waffles. Brisket was delicious even though it looked dry. Mexican section was the best following the pho bar. 😋. Go for the Mexican fritata(egg), and raspberry empanada. My husband made breakfast tacos with the Brisket. Coffee was great and thank you to Grace. Our server kept our table clean and drinks full. Very lovely and hope she gets recognized for awesome work...
Read moreSo, I was sitting at the Chickasaw Casino in Oklahoma—you know, the one where all the Texans come to enjoy a little taste of freedom. I’d been standing in line for twenty minutes, starving. When I finally get to the front, the girl looks at me and says, “That’ll be 41 dollars.”
Forty-one dollars. For a buffet. But what am I gonna do? I’ve already stood in line for twenty minutes. Just walk away? No chance. That would be insane. So, I pay it. I get the usual—turkey, ham, roast beef, vegetables, mashed potatoes. By the time I sit down, I’m completely stuffed. There’s no way I can eat another bite.
But then it hits me. I just spent forty-one dollars. Forty-one dollars. I’m getting my money’s worth. I go back up to the buffet, determined. I hit every single line and grab one of everything. Pizza, two kinds of pasta, Pad Thai, cookies, and, of course, crab legs—because why not?
Now, I’m sitting there, and my table looks like it belongs in a food commercial. It’s covered in this ridiculous mountain of food. I’ve won. I’ve beaten the casino. But here’s the problem—I can’t eat it. I’m sitting at the table, completely stuffed, just waiting for the right moment to duck out.
And then I look at those crab legs. Those poor crabs were alive just moments ago, crawling around the ocean, minding their own business. They were plucked out of the water, sent to a dock, loaded onto a truck, and kept alive the entire time—until five minutes ago. And now? Now they’re just sitting here, uneaten, because I had a personal vendetta against an overpriced casino buffet.
Do I need to go to confession for this? Is God going to put this on my permanent record? I mean, He’s probably sitting up there, watching, thinking, “Of all the things you could feel guilty about, this is...
Read moreWe have been to this Casino many times usually during the weekend and have ate here also during the weekend. This was the first time we have ate during the week (Tuesday evening) and the food was definitely NOT fresh, we definitely over paid ($52.30 for two people) everything looked like it had been sitting out all day, and when we asked to have something cooked fresh at the Asian station they said that they dont do that. We have eaten the before so we know that they do but the lady agreed like she read list and didnt want to turn the burner on. The only fresh food was cheese pizza and pepperoni, me personally not a big fan. It was my wife's birthday and i felt so embarrassed to have taken her to eat here, i did mentioned it to the waiter and he was really nice(Elliott) , he quickly apologized for the bad food and also mentioned that he would let his manager aware of the situation. I also mentioned to him that it read my wife's birthday and he was really quick to arrange a surprise for her and brought our a couple slices of cheese cake, i do have to say that it was the best part of the meal. So again do not over pay like we did, if you are hungry choose any of the other food restaurants in the casino but skip the buffet during the week days. We also decided to give them another chance, so we returned the following morning for breakfast ....but this time I asked the hostess if the food was cooked fresh this morning and she said that food is always fresh. I asked if we could look at the food on the line before paying, so we walked and looked and to our surprise a lot of the food was the same from the night before, i felt disgusted and just grabbed my wife by the hands and...
