UPDATE 03/08/25 Arrived at Winstar to celebrate my anniversary with a group of friends for a night of fun and dinner and drinks.. Well, against my better judgment I was outvoted by friends who accompanied us ..they wanted Mexican food and had never been to Winstar so I didn’t want to ruin their experience by saying something negative about Union Mesa… and here I am again adding another negative review ! I promise I am not making these comments up! Lol! Ordered 2 enchilada dinners and drinks. Cheese enchiladas were extremely dried out to where I had to “saw” through them with a butter knife! 🥹🥹…so here’s my gripe (again!!) with my final tab…The waitress ran my card through twice for 89.11 and again for $99.11 (the correct amount). I don’t know but It makes me made that 89.00 is tied up with my bank because of someone’s mistake! Do better Union! End of gripe! Sidenote: We ordered 2 draft Dos X’s & 3 plates of (2) enchiladas rice and beans which IMO was definitely not worth $99.00.

UPDATE:

Decided to pay a 2nd visit on 9/16 and by chance we happened to be seated by a manager who asked if we had ever been there, to which I replied yes and filled her in on my previous visit and that I had never been contacted despite leaving my contact information. Next thing I know another manager by the name of Mikayla comes to our table to ask, “who had I spoken to” I showed her my review and she came at me with “ well I apologize but there is no record of someone making contact with you so there is nothing I can do and we have a very strict policy” I am assuming she thought I was seeking a comp. I never even spoke to her so I do not know what the other manager told her. I was not seeking a comp but Mikayla’s attitude was nasty no professionalism at all! She made me so mad I wanted to get up and leave but my 92 year old mother was looking forward to Mexican food. Needless to say, we ended up staying and the waiter took our drink and food order and brought us our drinks and never once returned until our food came out and that was because we had to flag him down (roll back your camera’s if you don’t believe me ..Table 80 630-730pm). My assumption is that he didn’t want to be bothered with us after listening to Mikayla’s rant about us wanting comps.. IMO anyway. Also, does this look like $30 worth of Fajitas? 🥺😂 Great chips and salsa, though!!

Chips and salsa were delicious. My husband ordered 2 beef enchiladas and his enchiladas were rolled as thin as flautas. I ordered the beef fajitas and aside of being sliced thin they were tasty but not sure if they were worth $25. Then, despite leaving a cash tip at the table I was charged $15 dollars more than my bill total. I have tried reaching out (called office number and got a busy signal for 2days) then reached out via email and I have not heard anything back from management. I really like the atmosphere and food was decent but I am kinda leary about the fact that they would add extra to my bill total. Not cool! Management please...

It was my first time here after i heard about this place but it was my mistake for coming here. The staff, food and service was at its worse. They didn’t have half the food items we wanted to order, not much choices for vegetarians option and missing ingredients for vege optiona they said they give. No taste to the food, the hostess was clueless about anything going on there, kept on dropping things everywhere. The waitress was clueless and unhelpful on food items from menu. The staff was definitely not trained well on the menu items and ingredients. Every time question on food item the waitress had no knowledge of had to go back and ask others. The waitress kept coming to our table every like few mins and disturbing us while we were trying to have our food which was very unprofessional n impolite. I understand maybe after our food arrived and she came to make sure our food was ok but not every few mins to keep disturbing us not to say it was so obvious she was doing it for tips when she had no knowledge of anything we were trying to order and her service was not pleasant!!!

I will definitely not be returning and definitely not a great place for those who are vegan and vegetarian. It was waste of money and time with great loads if un satisfaction on food, service and staff. We even had to ask for plates for chips and salsa which should have been provided.. the enchiladas were given with side of peppers and onions with missing ingredients on all of our food. When asked to the waitress how food was served it was not a pleasant reply felt like we were eating food from frozen not fresh!!! Regret for coming to this place, never again for sure and don’t recommend..the worse for those who are vegan and vegetarian will leave from this place hungry and...

My boyfriend and I were at this establishment for dinner this last Tuesday evening. I don't know if your associates/servers were in a hurry to close at 10 p.m. or what. Everything that could go wrong with our meal and experience did. I ordered the Treso queso as our appetizer. The chips were stale! I told the hostess that as well as our server. We were NOT offered a fresh bowl of chips. We had no small plates, no silverware or napkins, no spoons for each queso. I ordered the Change dinner with the "cheese sauce". I've been told that's the cheese to order as my side because it's not spicy. ( I do NOT like the new "recipe" for your queso! It's too spicy!!). I told the server all this. When I got my entree I could see obviously that they had put the queso on the side, NOT the sauce. I ordered 2 burrito dinners "to go" and was VERY specific of how I wanted them made.... Put the rice on the side, NOT in the burrito, and wanted to substitute "charro beans" for refried beans. I told her the charro beans are extremely spicy! I trusted that they had done as I requested so I did not "inspect" the bag. When I got home, not only did I NOT have sides of rice (meaning rice was in the burritos), but I was sent home with 2 sides of "Charro beans". I did not get the benefit of my bargain, as it were.... Food that will have to go to waist! My boyfriend and I love coming to this restaurant! The portions are excellent and the food usually very good! But the service.... Something needs to be done about your servers and the service they give. If this issue isn't dealt with, you could start losing a lot of business. My boyfriend and I tolerate the issues.
