My fiancée and I walked into your Gainesville, GA showroom yesterday (07/14/2024), not planning to purchase but to compare quality to a furniture set that I found elsewhere and "believed" I was going to purchase. We were immediately greeted with warmth and friendliness by your amazing sales consultant, Lisa Ginn. Typically, I would put up a wall and avoid that person because I'm just there to browse, but not with her. With Lisa, I felt an instant peace and spoke to her right away. She was VERY knowledgeable, super easy to talk to (as if I'd known her for years), and she made our experience so wonderful. She educated us so much that we knew immediately that we were going to be making our purchase through your store and definitely with Lisa. She also brought Thanny over and she is also great and we all just sat on the sectional and chatted, not just about the furniture, but our pets and life in general. It was really sweet and we felt like we were sitting in our very own living room with close friends. Those ladies are an absolute asset to your company and they made our experience just perfect.
We fell in love with the Haley 6 Piece L-Shaped Sectional in the Stampede Buff, just as it sits on the sales floor. I planned to purchase the rug, but I believe it to be way overpriced and decided to find a rug elsewhere. I also love the circular coffee table and end tables that were with the collection and if I hadn't just bought a new set for my home, I might have purchased those. They look great with the sectional. Who knows, I might just be back for that purchase, once the sectional is sitting in my living room. I'm excited for my delivery on July 23. Read morePurchased a floor model living room "group" on clearance from the Gainesville GA location. First issue: I was told I could pick the items up over the Labor Day weekend on Sunday or Monday. Arranged to have help with the move and rearranged my work schedule so this could be done. Day of the pick up I was told "there isn't a porter here" to help and "insurance wouldn't allow me to pick it up". Friends inconvenienced for sure. I took time from work to do this. Secondly, the "group" came with 3 accent pillows. Once home, I realized that one of the pillows was missing. I returned to the store and was told "no, it only came with 2 pillows" despite being told by the store manager all three came with the grouping. The employees there at this time argued with me and said I was wrong and I'd have to speak with the manager who was on vacation. Deceptive to say the least. They then said I'd have to come back AGAIN to receive the pillow if the manager said it was ok. "Customer is always right" is NOT a motto of this store. Read moreI originally was purchasing a dining set and a king sized bed. Due to the delay of delivery of the dining set, I chose to purchase it elsewhere. I went ahead with the purchase of the king sized bed and was promised a timeframe for delivery. I was charged that second in full for the bed. Now, a month later I am told the bed is still almost two months out at minimum. Stop selling merchandise you do not have Haverty's! The "oh well" attitude of the Haverty's rep proves I made the wrong choice on a purchase. Don't blame covid and other factors as companies like Costco have plenty of stock.
Adding to If the Mgr REALLY wanted to speak with me about this, i'd suggest looking at who cancelled their order yesterday for a king bed and follow up with the customer. Not play damage control on an online review by seeming concerned after the fact. Obviously something happened to prompt me to spend my time to write a review of my experience. My issue is being told a 5 week delivery time ( which was also said that it could be even sooner but they were saying 5 weeks to be safe ) then turning around almost a month later and tell me another two months for delivery for a total of 3+ months after I had been charged in full...
