Ay Mama por Dios! — Restaurant in Gainesville

First time going with my family. The place looks very nice, but the service was not great at all. Our waitress was nice, but she did a terrible job serving us. We kept having to look for our waitress and asking for more drinks. She honestly didn't come much to check on us. Also, we had ordered the fish plate and they totally forgot to bring the order until we waited a long time to ask about the fish. My husband was very disappointed with the food, it wasn't good what we got. Which was the fajitas no flavor and hard to chew. My girls food was not good at all. We left alot of out food . The food just needed more flavor.. I hate that we didn't like it because its a pretty place to hangout. The waitress just need to improve her service. I will most likely not...

If you don’t read Spanish you have to scan for the menu, everyone else gets a physical menu with 3 pages of seafood options (in Spanish) and the only thing English is a very basic “Mexican food” menu (2 1/2 pages). Please provide everyone the same experience of the menu that is able to read in Spanish and English. We didn’t order anything seafood which other tables had and looked great because we couldn’t read it and no one told us about the scan option until we had to ask at the end of our meal. I visited Ay Mama Por Dios today for the first time and had such a great experience! The food was incredible — full of flavor and beautifully presented — but what really made the night special was our server, Christian.
