I wish I would’ve known walking in that this IS NOT a restaurant. It is a buffet plain and simple. I also wish that I would’ve known when you walk in and order food you automatically already owe $30 for just yourself, 28.99 if you want to be technical about it and then your drink isn’t included so tack on another 3.75?? Something around that. We sat down and were told that anything we ordered and the buffet was what we were paying for so you can eat anything you want which is great, but the food you get isn’t even worth it. We looked over at the bar first. In my opinion nothing looked appetizing or fresh, but we did come an hour and a half before closing, and food waste in America is real. So we decided to order from the menu, I wasn’t in the mood for sushi so I chose the steak and chicken hibachi my partner got just the chicken hibachi. When our plates were brought to us it was just the meat with teriyaki sauce drizzled over it. I wish I would’ve taken a picture it just looked weird. We were confused because usually it comes with fried rice the waiter came back and asked if we wanted the rice. We both said yes obviously because that is how the meal is suppose to come. She brought us the rice on the side in a bowl. As we ate the chicken was decent, it wasn’t bad, but also I wouldn’t choose to eat it. I was honestly a bit afraid to try the steak because it was already pretty pink in the center, and she didn’t even ask how I wanted it cooked. I did take a bite out of it and if you’ve read the other reviews you would know it was very chewy and their was no flavor whatsoever so ever. It tasted like just meat. The rice was just not good, I’ve been to a lot of hibachi places even Mr. Teriyaki and their rice is better than this place. I don’t know if the people of Gainesville just don’t have real taste buds or they’re just excited for a new place but this place isn’t even worth more than 2-3 stars. IN SUMMARY: I personally well never come back, just because for two people and a bill of 69.99, I could’ve REALLY treated myself to Longhorn, Juicy Crab, I mean you name it and I would’ve eaten better. DO NOT COME HERE FOR HIBACHI. If you want sushi maybe it’s worth your money I don’t know I didn’t try it. To each their own.NOT TO MENTION if you want to try something from the buffet if your “waste” weighs more than a pound they tack on another extra 15.99 PER POUND. So be mindful and ALWAYS READ...

My husband and I visited on a late Saturday afternoon. To be honest, I’m not a fan of buffets and had a feeling this one wouldn’t change my mind. Most buffets I’ve been to have pretty “mid” food, and people usually look so sad eating at their tables. I hadn’t been to a buffet since the early 2000s, and I figured I needed to try this spot since it’s relatively new.
I will say the inside is very clean, and staff is welcoming, attentive and professional. However, the food was maybe a 2/5. I filled a plate with a little bit of everything — the fried rice and fried shrimp were the only things that tasted fresh. After biting a piece of sushi, the rice was tough, as if it had been sitting out for a while — and I actually had to spit it out into my napkin after a couple chews. I am a sushi lover, so that was tough for me.
We tried ordering the made-to-order sushi — it was hit or miss. Then we went back for dessert — the best thing was the chocolate pudding and coffee cake. The other pastries tasted hard — again, as if they had been sitting out for a while. I contemplated getting another plate of food with more fried rice or maybe some of the fresh fruit that looked pretty good — until I saw a kitchen worker come out with a towel trying to smack flies around the food. After seeing that, I told my husband I was tapping out. He was also unimpressed with the food.
To be honest, Gainesville doesn’t have great Asian cuisine options. I was hoping this place would fill a gap in the market, but I think a lot of changes need to be made with the food in order for that to happen. I love Asian cuisine, and this was really a bummer. I’ll keep driving to Gwinnett and...

70 dollars for two people at dinner time. No alcoholic or crazy drinks. Two coke products, and two for dinner. FOR FOOD THAT HAD BEEN SITTING SINCE LUNCH. I mean my god, we understand it’s a buffet but at least keep the food warm. It was cold, stale, rubbery and you could tell it had some how been baking under the food lamps but was cold. You might as well take yourself next door to Longhorns for this price and get a meal you won’t leave wishing you never had. When we were asked how the food was, we expressed it was in fact cold to which the server responded we came too early. That people do not start coming until six and that is when food starts needing to be replaced. We were floored. Good sir, it’s five PM. You CHARGED me for dinner. So why are you feeding me lunch. He recommended the hibachi and sushi from the direct ordering menu, but it was also subpar. All the sushi was warm, even those not consisting of a warm product. And the hibachi though hot, was definitely not worth the cost. Overall just some of the worst Chinese food around here. And for 70 bucks, my god you could eat like a king anywhere around here. It’s our own fault for not cooking at home instead I guess lol.
The only positive is that the place was indeed clean and the guy who served us was kind as well as the hostess. The staff and service is not the issue.
We are incredibly disappointed and feel robbed lol....
