The New Gainesville Livestock Auction — Local services in Gainesville

I went there to buy goats. First, I wanted to look around to see what was up for auction. No can do. You are only allowed to see part of the stalls. The guy who owns the place has his grandkids working there. They beat the living daylights out of those animals. They had a pig I saw they were full blown kicking that thing with all their might. Then one of them hauled off and kicked it right in the nuts as hard as he could. They grab baby goats by their legs and throw them into the auction pen, cartwheels and all. It’s absolutely insane on how they even are open. Terrible treatment of animals and they need to be investigated. They will do it right in front of everyone too. I know animals can be tough. This used to be a good sale, not anymore. Today I witnessed children in the sale arena beating on sheep for fun. This was during the intermission between the pig sale and the sheep/goat sale. I went into the office to report this to the people who work there and was apparently the second to do so. A blonde woman in the office was threatening a woman for telling them exactly what I was there to tell them. There is no excuse for abusing these animals let alone teaching their kids to do so. Anyone in this business realize you sometimes have to get rough to herd livestock where you want them, but that's not what was going on. We've taken cattle to Decatur & Gainesville for auction. Gainesville has been the best so far. Decatur mixed up or swapped our animals. We brought in several bulls+ 1 heifer. But they paid us for heifers + 1 bull. They apologized but didn't even try to sort it out so our check from Decatur was less than it should've been. So we went to Gainesville livestock auction with cattle since then& haven't had any trouble there. I would have rated my experience even higher if they'd listed their fees on my receipt bc it would've been nice to know how much their services cost. But we had no problems in...
