Never had a bad review at a chic fil a. I eat a healthy diet most days. I also work 70 hours a week. My choice to enjoy a fast food (aka indulgance meal) happens about once a quarter. I decided "today's the day...I will go anywhere and eat what I want" I decided to have chic fil a. I wanted their breakfast sandwich. Crispy chicken egg and cheese on a biscuit, waffle fries. And chic sauce.
I get thete 15 before the end of breakfast and start my order, the kid says, they can't do fries only hash browns (a gross waste of calories in my book) As a loyal chic fil a family we know you can indeed get fries at breakfast. Every other location just says. "We can make it for you but it will take a little longer, Do you have time to wait? This ain't my first chic fil a rodeo " In fact I think you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn't know the ins and outs of chic fil a patronage.
He then suggested me buying the sandwich and drink ...it would be cheaper! But I'm not worried about money. Much more valuable than money is my calories I'm choosing to spend (can never get back time or calories) I knew what I wanted and with money in my hand for a product you have you suggested I buy the breakfast items now, and in 15 minutes order the fries????
I don't blame the kid at the register. I wonder what company culture has robbed this kid of his ability to solve a basic problem. I have never seen so many negative reviews on a CFA. You should really evaluate the management style. Are these kids afraid to solve a customer problem???
I was faithful to the top preforming CFA in DFW and the kids who worked there were peppy and upbeat and had agency over their jobs.
I manage a restaurant myself. I'd be dissatisfied with an employee who didn't smile, excited to solf a customers desire
So I tell the kid. I'm not buying part of a meal or buying the second half in 10 minutes. If he cant sell me what I want I'll go somewhere else. He just looked at me blankly. I left.
Even If my employee just comped the fries because the computer wouldn't charge ...or charge for hash browns and scoop up the fries. I would rater have them comp a whole meal than send them to the competition!
I am running errands before work and had planned to make a few calls and send some emails while waiting.
So instead I'm driving around trying to figure out what I'd like to have for my treat meal.
I'm not interested in a free meal to make it up, because I'm not interested in spending time and calories often. My family might want to look at some point and I might find myself in the paris location again since we've recently moved here, but this place needs to seriously consider what...

I always say, "Everyone is always so nice at Chick-fil-A!" Well, today I was proved wrong!
Starting, the (no-greeting) drive-through attendant said, "Let's move up.... (referring to forwarding the car) - I said no problem (as he walked beside me) ... he then added - If we don't, we will get in trouble!! Oh goodness... no one should feel that way!
A Simple #1 order that wasn't so simple... In the drive-up window, they confirmed my name, handed me the order, and I asked, "Are there 2 Chick-fil-A sauces & one BBQ in there?" She didn't even look; she said, "Yes!" So I decided to look anyway... Nope, there were the two CFA sauces; so I asked for one BBQ, she (with a smirk) handed me one. Then, I noticed there were only two napkins in the bag (everyone knows you need one or two napkins JUST to deal with opening the condiment containers!), I asked her for some extra napkins.... she handed me TWO... (Only two?) I giggled and asked. "Is there a shortage of napkins?"!! She didn't know what to say! I drove away. There was no way I wanted to have a conversation about napkins!
THEN ...
I opened my bag... I wanted (& ordered) extra pickles... didn't get them! There were only a few waffle fries, as one large one was blocking the container (which had never happened before), and they were VERY greasy (time to change My drink... well, it was supposed to be a CB Lemonade, but they gave me a CB Sprite instead. I don't drink sodas!
First, it's a terrible location to maneuver in/out of, and it's the LEAST friendly location I have EVER experienced!
Take care of your employees, and they will take care of your customers... and the gratitude will flow...
Read moreWonderful! We used have to wait until we took the odd trip to Denton or Sherman for our Chick-fil-a fix, so we were thrilled to hear a location was finally opening here in Gainesville. We had our first visit this evening, and it was everything we hoped it would be! Despite being several hours into a dinner rush, the service was fast and friendly. The intercom system seemingly went out shortly before we ordered, but an employee met us promptly at the menu board as we were pulling up to take our order and didn't even skip a beat. Every single employee we spoke to was smiling and incredibly upbeat.
The food itself was delicious! The bun on our sandwiches almost had a buttery quality to it that I don't recall at every other Chick-fil-a, but absolutely made the meal! The nuggets and chocolate shake was 100% toddler approved. Unlike other fast food restraurants in the area, the drinks didn't taste watered down or like fried food - just delicious fountain soda. And the fries, almost as much of a Chick-fil-a trademark as their chicken, were absolutely perfect.
I haven't been this satisfied after a fast food meal in Gainesville in a looong time! The other businesses nearby need to watch out, because this new Chick-fil-a has really stolen the show! When we get the hankering for a fast meal, we will definitely be coming here...
