Very disappointed in the lack of customer service received from this store. I went in last week and upgraded to an iPhone 12 pro max. They didn't have it in stock so the rep ordered it and said it would arrive in two days. On the second day, I called around 4pm to see if the phone arrived in which they told me it hadn't. I then checked online at the shipping details when I left work at 6pm and it said that my phone was delivered at 12pm that day. So I immediately called a few times with no answer so I drove to the store. When I arrived, there were 3 salesman and 2 people ahead of me. There was no sign in sheet or any type of acknowledgment that we were all there. All 3 salesman were not acknowledging any of us and just sat with their customer, half the time just talking and sitting back either waiting for people's phones to back up or whatever. I waited there for over an hour 1/2 before I just walked out. Come to find out, this place is not a Verizon store but rather an "authorized Verizon dealer". No wonder there was no system, no customer service and the staffing was lacking. I have worked in customer service for over 15 years and would never treat customers this way. While a salesman is waiting for either someone's phone to backup or whatever, they should at least come and acknowledge the other waiting customers and see what they're there for. Both myself and another customer had a quick thing to do. Mine was to just pickup my phone. I would do the transfer and get everything backed up. I am really disappointed in the lack of customer service there and wish they did a better job at handling their customers. Waiting for over an hour 1/2 and not being acknowledged for an hour is absurd! The sales rep that finally came after an hour only did so because he had to get up from his desk and look for a case. He then finally looked over and said something. That's ridiculous!! Yall should really look into a better system where you can set an appointment or something like that. They claim you can on the phone recording but there's no where to do that online. I was so upset that I spent an hour 1/2 wasted on a Friday night after working all week to just be ignored. The rep we were working with seemed professional to talk to but has literally lied straight to our faces about a couple of things which gave us a lot of grief. The most egregious lie was about the new verizon customer phone trade-in offer. I have asked him specifically if the 200$ gift card on top of the 1000$ trade-in rebate would apply to in-store purchases or if it was only for online purchases. Dude lied straight to my face that the offer of that kind doesn’t exist at all and the 1000$ trade in rebate includes 800$+the aforementioned 200$ gift card value. That was straight out deceitful!
I only realized that the dude lied to me when one of my friends also moved to Verizon but has done it online and got the 1000$ rebate plus the 200$ gift card!
Had that rep let me know straight out and not flat lied to my face, I would have taken my transaction online as well. We moved 2 lines that day so we lost a combined of 400$ due to the sole egregious behavior of the agent there. And he always seemed to be in a rush to lock in our purchases.
And the second lie was even more disappointing than the first. He tried to slip-in an additional 40$ on-to the one time device tax payment saying that the system won’t allow him to take the charge out and insisted to either use the 40$ worth in-store or get it as a prepaid verizon card that can only be used with verizon. Only after showing our extreme displeasure at this, he was willing to “find a way” to take that charge out! It did not even take him 2 mins to get that 40$ off of our charges once he knew we weren’t buying his nonsense! Extremely cunning and deceitful!

Read moreI had a terrific experience at this Verizon store. I went in to upgrade from an iPhone 6s to an iPhone 8 plus. Jay was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. It turned out to take three hours, due to lots of little snags (for example, an Apple security check that wanted the number of a credit card I no longer had!) but Jay helped me steer through the "maze" of switching my life from one phone to another.
I don't know if upgrades are usually like that or not because this was my first upgrade ever, but Jay was reassuring and apologized for how long it took. I didn't mind, because I went on a Sunday and had intentionally planned it as my only errand of the day.
At one point, when Jay was unraveling a particularly frustrating snag in the process, I realized that we were going through the frustration together but I would go on to enjoy my great new phone while he would go on to another person's frustrating tech troubles. That made me respect his friendly attitude that much more. He is my smartphone hero. :-)
In addition to being so great with my phone, he got me a nice Zenpad tablet computer for $1 and $10/month to add it to my unlimited data plan. That will be game-changing for the work I do! What a great and unexpected bonus.
