First of all, I will say that when I visited the store, everyone was very friendly and helpful. A few years ago I bought a leather 6 piece sectional and because it was an expensive piece of furniture and I have dogs, they talked me into the 5 year extended warranty. The sold me on it because they said it covered everything, including pet damage.Fast forward a few years later and I am having some issues with my couch. The seam of the corner piece has fallen apart and one of the pieces (where the dog usually lays) is flaking and discolored. So I figured this would be the perfect time to use my expensive warranty. I made an appointment for an assessment and the guy finally came out. It had been a few weeks even though he said he would call in a few days, so I reached out to the warranty company. They told me I was denied for everything because it was considered normal wear and tear. I am infuriated because how does only 1 seam and 1 piece of a 6 piece couch come apart and they can just call it wear and tear which is apparently not covered under the warranty that I was told covered everything. The said even if the seam was a manufacturer's defect, that seams falling apart is not covered. So basically I wasted money on a warranty that covers NOTHING and now I have more than $3000 couch that's only a few years old with a couple of defects that I will have to pay out of pocket to fix.I am very disappointed that the salesman at Furniture Country sold me this "amazing" extended warranty that is 100% useless to me now. Read moreToday 06/24/2021 My family & I walked into Furniture Country and we were immediately greeted by Darius a very nice young man who we give 5 stars. We were looking for a bedroom set and bar stools but we stumbled across some area rugs we were told there were 3 in stock of the one we liked which was marked down from $169 to $99 and in fact Darius asked us if we wanted all 3? we said no just 2 but did you have any other choices? Darius took us onto the sales floor where they had the exact same area rug in a smaller size for $199 with 30% off which would be $139. We wanted to speak to the manager about this and he or she would not come over to speak with us, but whenever Darius went to ask the manager a question they provided him with an answer, but refused to come speak with us. So we told Darius no problem we will take 2 of the bigger area rugs we like for $99 the manager sent Darius over and they said because the other rugs were newer even though they were same make, size, model they would be $139. The lazy manager never came to speak to us so we purchased nothing. But we did find 3 great Ashley swivel bar stools for $300 at furniture king. We were looking for a bedroom and stools but rest assured we will never shop or recommend Furniture Country to anyone. That is one lazy manager terrible business practices.
Here we are over a year ago and other than the BS response to my feedback I have had nobody reach out to me or try to correct the problem, so a lot of lip service replying to my feedback as they did absolutely nothing to try and correct it. GREAT JOB...
Read moreI've bought several pieces of furniture from Furniture Country on a few different occasions over the past 7+years. I've always been treated with respect and care. My purchasing power has been judged on looks at other furniture stores (i.e. she looks younger, therefore probably doesn't have much money, so we don't have to waste time and energy on her), which annoys me because i hate having to chase someone down so i can buy what i want/need and get out. this has never been the case here. I've always been helped and treated like my needs matter and that counts highly in my book. The sales team here has figured out that balance of being there to answer questions and help without being pushy to make a sale. They listen to your wants and needs and show you the pieces that they think will fit/work; and if they don't have it on the floor they have a handy system to show you pieces they can bring in for you. I will continue to do business here for the foreseeable future, and will recommend them to anyone in the area. On another note their delivery team is also highly professional and friendly. When one of my furniture pieces had a problem with a broken part they were back within hours to look at it and quickly ordered the needed part and were back as soon as that part came in to fix it. working around my schedule, which was fabulous.
