This organization provides support to small food businesses, local farms and caterers. There is a brand new community kitchen for preparing foods and canning. There are freezers for community use. The community center hosts a variety of events and classes and workshops, monthly garden club meetings, weekly yoga classes, lectures and hands on workshops such as making your own ferments and your own solar energy projects. Over the course of three days, she learned where food comes from and how it’s grown, gaining hands-on experience both in the garden and the kitchen. As a gymnast and swimmer, she especially benefited from the camp’s focus on healthy eating and culinary skills.
