I was in your store at the address 619 S Frederick Ave, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. When I walked down the aisles, I found myself in the sections where one of the employees was unpacking items from a cart twice. For the second time, the employee started telling me to stop following her. I replied that I am not stalking her, to which she continued to insist that I am stalking her. Both times I was 2 meters away from the employee, examining the merchandise, did not touch the employee, did not touch the cart. I explained that I was just in the store and not following anyone, to which the employee very irritably insisted that since I was in the same aisle as her, I was stalking her. When I asked to call the manager, the manager never showed up. I do not understand on what grounds I was accused of harassment. If it is prohibited to be in the same aisle as the employee who is arranging the merchandise, that aisle should be cordoned off during this time so that customers cannot go in there. I was very upset that I was being accused of something unclear. Do you have an excerpt from the store's rules stating that the customer is not allowed to be in the aisle while an employee is restocking items from the cart and explain why in this case the row was...
Read moreThis location was good back around 2012-2013. I used to shop & donate here a lot then. Since then, the management changed and it is not the same! The manager was never rude to me personally, but I seen hostile treatment towards other shoppers.
Before the change, the racks remained full of clothing and shelves filled with items, and you had lots to choose from at great prices. So, their pricing has also changed. Over-priced items are common here now. Like this Ann Taylor Loft top with tags on it, which should be no more than $5....its out dated. But it has a tag of $9.99. I noticed many of the Goodwills are doing this- pricing items more than it would cost brand new in a non-thrift store.
I believe Goodwill is losing focus. Folks shop here to help support their services offered to those in need. If you over price most things, folks will not or can not buy things to support a cause. Also, its kinda pricey for ppl who can not afford many items due to income issues.
Don't get me started on the long line at checkout. It's crazy slow! It's utterly ridiculous! It was not like that back then.
I will not go back to this...
Read moreI checked their closing hours before going there to donate, it was Sunday and according to the website they close at 6pm. I arrived there at 5:10pm. I had a 6 pairs of shoes in great condition one pair of boots was even new and some household goods. The guy driving the forklift signal me that they were closed but I could see on his face that he was in a bad mood already. I thought okay their website says they close at 6 let me go ask what’s their real schedule, I walked to his coworker and asked him the times I could come since they were close, he was cool and polite told me the hours. As I was walking to my car the guy that was on lift spoke to me in a very rude way, said that he signal me that they were closed. I said I just went to ask what’s their real open hours and he kept being rude. Very...
