Came into the store in Galax VA. About a week ago. A young woman named Elizabeth waited on us. She ordered a phone for us and said it would come overnight by fed ex, which it did. 5 days later we came back to that store to have all the information transferred from our old phone to the new phone. A young man whose name is Jack waited on us. He hurried through the transfer and we didn't notice until we got home that he didn't actually complete the transfer. His customer service care left a lot to be desired. We are elderly and not up to par with technology and we told him that. I felt like because it wasn't a deal where he would get commission he really didn't want to be bothered by us. Today we went back to that store and got Elizabeth again. I cannot say enough about the way she helped us, took her time and explained things to us. She was very professional and I would recommend she be acknowledged for her service. I have been with Verizon since 1990 but was ready to go to a different provider. Thanks to Elizabeth I will stay with Verizon. Sincerely,...
Read moreLiving in Wytheville Va we went to our local store and was quite disappointed with the help. Customer service doesn't exist besides the help outside smoking alot we stood around waiting while 1 woman was helping a customer and 2 others were talking in the back room. When the 1 woman came from the back room and sat down and we went over she said she was too busy and had 12 things to do besides help us. We left and went to another store 45 minutes away in Galax Va. There a young man named Preston Carrick greeted us upon entering the store and continued to help us with the purchase of a phone. We were so satisfied with the help we received we will continue to use the Galax location. They should close down the Wytheville location cause even the furniture is broken in which I almost fell off the chair I was in. I recently had a knee replacement and that would have been serious...
Read moreWent into the store to move our service from Straight Talk to Verizon. We had been using the Verizon towers through Straight Talk so we knew the service itself should be OK. I checked ahead of time and was told that all 3 of our phones (Samsung) would work just fine. In the end only one phone was usable.... we were told that the other two were 'network locked (after the two sales associates had a private conversation away from us) so we suspected that they had to cook up a schene to get us to purchase some phones that they could make some money on. I almost told them at that point to just restore our previous service, but we ended up leaving with the least expensive (over $300 apiece) phones x2, NOT Samsung and my wife HATES the Motorola that we are now stuck paying for, for the next 3 years. Shop around....do not let them...
