My husband and I go there a lot. They have great food. The people that

work there are very friendly and courteous. Would highly recommend. My husband and I recently went to Kyoto to have dinner, I cannot believe how much things have changed there. When I ordered the shrimp and scallops it was to come with a salad and soup. My husband had the red snapper with mixed vegetables. I didn't get the soup or salad. My husband called the male waiter over and told him I didn't get my side dishes. It took him 10 minutes to bring it to me. When we got our dinner, my husband didn't get his mixed vegetables. He called the male waiter over again.He explained that he didn't get his vegs. The waiter was very rude and snapped at my husband. Then, i a very loud voice he said " yes sir I'll get your vegetables.Is there anything else sir." We both looked at him like he lost his mind. There was a female waitress there, she sat in the back playing on her cell phone. When my husband side dish arrive, he tossed it on the table, then said there would be no charge. When we were paying for our food, the guy didn't even thank us for coming. I looked at the reciept, we were charged a service fee. Never have we been charged a service fee there, or any other restaurant in the area. If the owner were there, customer's would be treated with respect, waiters and waitress would check on you. I typically don't leave bad reviews, but had to here. Went here with a group of 6 guys. Walked in and the entire place smelled of old wet floor, akin to days old wet towels. No sakè, bummer but no big deal. Ordered food, one of our party is allergic to shrimp and we made the waiter aware, I'm allergic to chicken and we also explained that to the waiter. Got our food waiter had no recollection at allwho ordered what. ate for about 3 minutes and the one of our party allergic to shrimp actually found a shrimp mixed in his food. Waiter apologized and had it remade but didn't even seem to care. After that I couldn't even eat, nervous they might have mixed chicken in with my food. I will NEVER go here again and recommend others the same. We are lucky we didn't end up in the hospital due to this establishments absolute carelessness...

Stopped in at Kyoto At Virginia in Galax Virginia with my wife and son for lunch. One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We ordered Two Combination Plates and my son ordered the Hibachi Chicken. Service was awful took 25 mins to get the soup and salad that came with the combination plates. The salad was warm and inedible. Once our food came to the table the experience continued to get worse. I had the steak and scallops, the steak was inedible the scallops were chewy and overcooked, my wife had the Chicken and Steak with the same result inedible steak, rubbery chicken with no seasoning. And to top off this horrible dining experience the waiter didn't even bother to place my 12 year old sons order. Avoid this place at all cost definitely...
