The first line of business in a restaurant is hospitality. The host and/or waitress is the first impression. This is not our usual place to eat Mexican food, but several people have raved to us about how great the food is. I will not argue that. The food was amazing, but the waitress sucked. Our check, which we had to ask someone else for, said the waitress' name was "Sandy". Well, Miss Sandy should not be working with the public. Menus were put on the table and she said, "we have Pepsi products. What do you want to drink?" Not entirely rude, but lacking in table side manner. She walks off and brings back chips and salsa and just walks away. Doesn't ask if we're ready to order. She comes back about 10 minutes later and simply says, "you ready to order?" Most people politely ask if we need a few more minutes or if we're ready. Okay, cold but we'll take it. The food comes out and we didn't get the extra rice we ordered and my daughter wanted sour cream. We waited several minutes before we saw our waitress again and then when we saw her, she stopped but seemed in a hurry. (There weren't many customers) When we asked for the rice, she started to walk away. My husband said, "excuse me, can we also get sour cream and some cheese dip?" She walked off without a word but we got what we asked for. She never came back to our table. Never asked if we needed anything else. Never asked if everything was okay. Never offered to refill our drinks. She never even came back with the check. She was still there walking around, so it isn't like she left... my husband asked someone else for the check. My husband is a retired chef who still caters private events. When she started walking away before he was finished speaking, he said if she worked for him, she'd have been fired on the spot. She didn't talk at all except to ask what we wanted to drink and eat. She had an attitude like she wished we weren't there because she had better things to do than HER JOB. Even though the food is pretty amazing, we won't return because we don't like eating somewhere that the waitress doesn't want to interact with...
Read moreMy original review was from several weeks ago and my service was excellent. I went for lunch today (10/23/24) and this was the WORST service I’ve had in years. The waitress was sitting near me across the aisle in a booth facing me and a young man was eating lunch there. She avoided eye contact with me. After she dropped my drink off it was at least 20 minutes before she took my order. I had to ask the waiter on the row beside me if he would take my order before she came and took it. She dropped off my food and never checked back again and didn’t even bring my check. My tea was never refilled, either. The restaurant was not busy because I went around 1:30. Also, a couple was seated in the booth in front of mine and she immediately came to take their order but continued to ignore me and left before I could call out to her. They got their food before she took my order. I was going to complain when I checked out but my waitress was running the register. She could tell I was not a happy customer and never acknowledged that my service was poor. She did not give me a form to add a tip though. My food was very good and I’ll go back but it’s tempting to go somewhere else next time. I have never not given a tip but since she didn’t give me a form with an amount line on it, I didn’t bother to...
Read moreWe are local and have ate here often in the past. But what has happened ? Our salsa was tomato puree nothing else and wasnt cold it was like it was fresh off the stove. I got the mixed fajitas and it was like they were cooked yesterday. The chicken and steak was so dry and chewy . I didn’t eat. The handle cover for the hit plate was slimy and crusted with layers of different types of dried food. It was so nasty …see pics. Honestly looked like it had never been washed. My husbands chimichangas was just boiled beef and boiled chicken wrapped and fried . Each chimichanga was about 2 inches long. My fajitas also had no flavor at all. I added lots of salt and pepper and tried to eat the veggies and just couldnt. The refried beans… what was that. They were reddish colored and seemed to be loaded with chili powder . Not goodat all. The guacamole dip??? Mashed avacados and nothing else. I didn’t feel like complaining and just paid the bill and left. They lost our business. Its sad to see because eating here was amazing in the past. Perhaps the employees should pay more attention to the food quality instead of laughing and cutting up...
