DG Market — Local services in Gallatin

They were very rude, told us that we had to hurry up that they were closing early due to weather.. They normally close @ 10 pm. We walked in @ 9:40 pm and grabbed what we needed and I was on my way to check out and they were telling my friend that I needed to hurry up that they were about to close @ 9:50 pm, while We were getting checked out refused service to a gentleman that was only wanting a gallon of milk. By the time that we were getting checked out and getting in our vehicle, it was 9:59 pm.. it really didn't make any sense as to why they would be rude to several people and still closed the door when they were supposed to.. It was an older woman and man Working.. it was a terrible experience and I work in customer service and am not sure why people that rude would be working in public when apparently they don't know how to treat others. I would definitely give them a -5 if that...

I hate leaving bad reviews, as a cashier myself I understand everyone has off days nor do I expect you to immediately collect yourself after dealing with frustrating customers. However, the heavier-set man with glasses that works nights at the register is extremely unpleasant. At first I brushed it off as a reserved demeanor and simply stopped asking typical small talk (hi, how are you, etc.). Tonight, however, he decided to act quite dramatic over a simple transaction error. My tap wasn't working, so he angrily huffed instructions at me and then dramatically sighing and cancelling the transaction when I asked him to check those behind me out while I went to get my card. I never leave reviews, but this one was necessary. I was checking the price on a pillow on the top shelf it fell down & I couldn’t get it back on the shelf so i left it. I’m a little woman only 5’1. The GM ( a bald guy who clearly hates his job) was so rude & on the edge it was so weird he screamed at me in front of everyone in the store. I was so caught off guard I’ve never been so humiliated in my life. I will never go back there & I’ve already reported him to corporate. Unbelievable the way I was treated.
