Mooyah - Bacon Cheeseburger w/fries and drink combo $14.29
The setup: Single Certified Angus Beef®, Cheddar Cheese, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, MOOYAH Sauce, Signature Potato Bun
The verdict: first impression, the burger is tiny (see hand pic).. offensively small for a $9 (a la cart) burger. The bacon, being in the name, was lost in the burger.. such is extra impressive considering the nearly slider sized dimensions. Limp and greasy, this had to be microwaved bacon.. such as you might get at subway. The meat was so small that if it did have flavor, it was lost in the scheme of things.. i barely noticed it. The overall flavor of the burger was ok.. no structural issues, but it wasn't big enough to get them. This burger was so underwhelming in every imaginable way.
The fries were half soggy, undercooked and greasy. Their flavor was just grease and charred potato skin. I didnt like them, but due to the burgers size, I had to eat them all in order to survive! I even had the green chili queso dip ($2.79).. which was lukewarm, thin, and lacking in tastiness. It didn't help.. i preferred mayo and mustard to get these down.
Overall this place was a terrible eating experience. They have 'fancier' burgers that look interesting, but if you can't do the basics right, why should i risk it at these prices? This is shish a counter service place that begs for a tip for ringing you up as well. Yet another bad taste left...
Read moreNot bad. I would say my experience was a solid 3.5. Went with my wife and 2 kids. I had the Double Diablo-tasty. My wife had the Low-carb- she said it was ok. My boys had the little burger kids meals. They usually love burgers- but barely touched theirs. They did devour the fries though. This may be because they had shakes which came out fast, but the food took A WHILE. I attribute that to being their first weekend open and being pretty busy. It did also take a while to order, I noticed they had 1 of their 2 registers out of order and both self-service kiosks out of order..again first weekend open. We are big fans of 5 Guys and if we tried to compare, this missed the mark. It may not seem fair to compare but our meals cost about $50 which is inline with 5 Guys pricing. Some may say it's not fair to compare, but if you are in that price range, offer Burgers, fries and shakes, it's reasonable to assume the comparison. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean and staff were very nice. We all agreed, it was OK but left something...
Read moreSo I tried this place when they first opened wasn't very impressed . Ordered 3 single burger meals that cost almost 50 oror dollars can't recall the exact amount but was ridiculous for 3 meals. Also was at the restaurant for about an hour waiting for the food that was not that great . Small burgers soggy fries . Then I decided to give them a second chance considering they had just opened. This time I just ordered one meal an extra side item and a very small shake for 25 dollars. The burger tasted horrible like it had been sitting a while also the fries and the sweet potato fries both were so soggy, greasy, salty and old could not eat them at all. They were not even that busy maybe 3 other customers in the whole place so no excuse to have this food cooked up and setting there to send out quickly. I will not be going back to this place . I usually don't say anything about restaurants because I have worked in the food industry my entire life but I feel that people should know before spending so much money on a...
