Sales person was nice. But there prices were rather high, some were (over the top even). ▪︎Dont know if she was trying to be s high in Boutique (Then they need to built a new building, to show the outside world what kind of shop they are wanting to project). High in Art, statues of sea life (made from different materials). There prices, may have some to do with "The amount of merchandise they are able to buy at one time" ▪︎They do have, did have some End of Season: a few items on 50% off. But truly needed to have some other items on Sale as well. ▪︎Towards the back they do have very nice displays set up of merchandise that are inviting. But once you look at the price tag, a customer is in sticker shock at times, some were: just a real put off (left bad taste in your mouth). There was a need in this area, to have a better quality of merchandise, (Not just the 5 & 10 dime). But need to find a happy mix of the two. ▪︎Maybe network, a Few of the Rental Properties: and the Crystal Beach Resort give out (Flyers), they bring them in they give discount on the merchandise (Goodies) when they Bring in the their Flyer. That would give added Advertisement for her business. Partnerships is what she needs, ▪︎ They do offer the beach permit for vehicles.♡ Maybe this review, will enlight this business to be little more flexible on some rates.
•••••Looks like: owners are trying to (Rig) Google score: by having folks put in 5 stars.....all in Row.)•• And the reply, they just didn't know what to say, so folks can't see all sides...
Read moreTucked among the trinkets, sea glass, and old coastal signs inside Crystal Beach Decor & More, there stands a deer. Mounted, motionless, and dusted with time. But it’s no ordinary taxidermy.
Locals whisper that it’s the last of the Crystal Stag — a rare, wild breed that once roamed the dunes of Bolivar Peninsula, long before beach houses and bait shops laid claim to the sand. Known for its unmistakable antlers — twisted like driftwood and shaped like crashing waves — this breed was said to be near-mythical. Some hunted them for sport, others for the story. Now, only this one remains. Stuffed. Preserved. Watching.
But here’s where the legend bends: They say that when the shop closes and the last light flickers off, the spirit of the stag stirs. Passersby have claimed to see its ghostly form slip out through the walls, antlers glowing faintly in the moonlight, and trot silently across Highway 87 toward the beach.
One woman swears it stared into her headlights before vanishing like sea mist. Another man insists he saw hoofprints that led nowhere.
And yet, as dawn breaks and shopkeepers return, the deer is always back — silent in its little corner, as if it never left.
Whether it’s just a tale or something more… well, that’s for you to decide.
Just don’t look it in the eyes for too long. Some say you’ll feel the pull...
Read moreI’ve had the best experiences with both Jennifer and Steve! From purchasing things from their store that we regular priced and on sale! Even if they aren’t “On Sale” they are very reasonable! The store is very nice, updated and clean! I have never had a bad experience there. The quality of their items are all exceptional! For me this is a place I love to visit on a regular basis. I live on the peninsula and I love to shop local. I not only know the owners as friends but as well as business. I would hands down recommend them to anyone I know and would give nothing less than a 5...
