I honestly don’t know where to start. We are here on vacation for the week, and we visited this establishment as the reviews were misleadingly high, and it was in close proximity to our beach house. When we got here, there was one person waiting for take out and only one table. No one greeted us for probably 10 minutes until we went up to the counter and then we were told to sit wherever. Then, we sat so long waiting for our order to be taken that we thought we were supposed to go back up to counter to order. My kids ordered boba drinks, as pictured on their menu, that’s definitely not what they got. None of the food came out close together. One person got their food after everyone else finished eating. They didn’t have several items that were listed on their menu. Everything was overcooked, the vegetables on the lomein were so mushy it was like baby food. My daughter ordered fries and they came saturated in grease. The food was maybe one star, but the service was far worse. For the quality of food, it’s way over priced. We have NEVER ever not tipped as I have always worked in the service industry, but here we did. For how slow the business was while we were there, the poor service in inexcusable. I’m assuming the place only stays in business as the options...

This is a Pho and American/Chinese food restaurant not really a cafe. When I went in the place wasn’t very busy and interior seemed clean enough. I went to the front counter and waited about ten minutes before someone came out of the back. I got a menu and sat myself after hitting an immediate language barrier. I ordered what I wanted by pointing at the menu. They only serve cans of soda. The grilled pork was bloody on one side of one piece not the nice red grilled color. The cook who brought my food didn’t bring utensils and when I asked for chopsticks he also seemed confused…. After figuring it out he says something to the other guy and he grabs me some dirty black plastic chopsticks with fingerprints and stuff stuck to them and then they both disappear again so brought them back to the counter and just leaned over the bar and grabbed a fork and left the dirty chopsticks. The food itself tasted fine and I didn’t get sick or anything but I was a little grossed out from the pork and i didn’t finish my meal tbh. I didn’t care for all the condiments And containers of chilli oil (which I love) being left out on every table especially during this pandemic. If they can fix those things I would give...

Gave this cute little cafe a try on a weekend trip—

Positives: -My grilled pork vermicelli bowl was good and the fresh spring rolls were alright as well -The Vietnamese coffee was good -The service was quick -The restaurant seemed clean

Negatives: -My boyfriend’s stir fried noodle dish had an interesting flavor, hard to describe - just sort of off. -His food was quite obviously reheated in the microwave before arriving to our table (cold in the center, warm around the edges-and we could hear the microwave right before it was brought to our table) -Our meals were served separately - not a huge deal, just awkward -Our waiter appeared to be in pain?? He would moan and hiss frequently and hold his cheek like he had a toothache while walking around the restaurant and while taking our order. This was obvious and even obnoxious to the point that I was uncomfortable for him and felt pity for him for being at work being in obvious discomfort. -the Vietnamese coffee and Thai tea are made in batches and stored in the fridge. Also not a huge deal as I know these can take a while to make, I just...

The place is good. Go. That’s the TLDR More details: the waitresses seem extremely frazzled and stressed. It’s definitely understaffed. We went three mornings in a row for breakfast, each time desperately needed 1-2 more staff scheduled. They could boost their pricing up just $1 per food menu item and they would have the overhead to pay more staff. Get the biscuits and sausage gravy with an egg over the top. Absolutely outstanding. Coffee is meh. Definitely fine with some cream and sugar, don’t recommend it black. The facility is cute with simple interior design choices. Big TVs playing the news of a documentary each time. AC works well, which was nice at the end of the summer. Bathrooms are very clean. As stated before, simple answer if you’re considering the Crystal Beach Cafe is: Go. You’ll enjoy yourself.

My wife and I are somewhat connoisseurs of phở, considering that we grew up eating and cooking it. I give the phở here 7.5/10 which is very good. The broth was rich, savory, aromatic. The protein was fresh and tender. The noodles had perfect fresh texture. The side veggies (basil and bean sprouts were) were fresh and plentiful. The service was friendly and fast. Very clean and spacious. Will definitely be back to try other dishes. The Cafe sửa đá (viet iced coffee) was perfect.
