Jack City rocks so much that theyâve changed my relationship with my holistic health and fitness. I used to hate working out, especially at the gym; Iâm a socially awkward gym noob and Iâd get super anxious feeling like everyone else but me knew what to do. Iâve tried most of the local gyms in the Valley only to cancel my membership because I could never shake the imposter syndrome. Yet at JCF, I somehow have come to feel as safe and welcomed as I do at home. Everyone is super nice, helpful, and you can just feel that youâre part of a community of genuinely good people just trying to better themselves.
The facility itself is exceptional and so, so clean. They have pretty much everything you can hope for and more in a gym. I mean the amenities themselves are wild (ice bath, infrared sauna, fully stocked showers, meal kit services), but what kind of gym provides you with brand new hair ties and flip flops in case you need them?
What I find most exceptional about JCF is that you can tell that literally everyone who works there is genuinely passionate and dedicated to their work and mission. They care about your fitness goals and your progress, but really they care about you. They want you to succeed in every corner of your life.
This has been particularly true with my outstanding trainer, David Woody, who Iâve worked with for the past 3 months. I was lucky enough to snag a spot as one of Woodyâs clients (if youâre looking for a trainer, I hope you get lucky too). When I started, I had zero confidence, was in a lot of pain (hip dysplasia & herniated disc), and had the durability and strength of an overripe banana. To say that Woodyâs guidance and training has changed my life would be an understatement. In just a few months, he has helped me do more for myself than years and $$$$ of pain management treatments, medications, and medical visits have ever done for me.
Is a partnership (they use this term vs. âmembershipââtrust that youâll see why) at Jack City an investment? Yes, but my only regret is that I didnât sign up sooner. I just committed to many more months with Jack City, and I couldnât be more excited.
Thank you for helping me build a happier, healthier, pain-free...
Read moreWhat I think about Jack City Fitness, you ask? Let me start with how close and convenient the location for me is. I can walk to the gym plus get my workout in. I know it's probably not as close for others as it is for me but I just thought I'd share that :) on a second note, I love the fact that all I had to do was sign up and meeting with a trainer every 4 weeks came along with it. You can't find that kind of service anywhere! Let me just say that Rachelle has seriously helped me so much these passed 6 months I never thought I could keep my motivation going if it wasn't for her. Thank you so much Rachelle! Meeting every 4 weeks keeps me accountable and keeps me on track. I would also like to point out how quiet and personal this gym can be. I like to go in the evenings and it's usually just me which is so nice. I also did some classes a few months back and I absolutely loved them. I loved that they weren't as big as I thought they'd be so I was able to get one on one with a few of the trainers. The treadmills are quite the challenge as well because you don't always see an already inclined treadmill at a regular gym. I haven't seen those anywhere actually! So I love how it challenges you because who doesn't love a good challenge? I am also very impressed by the sports area because it means that this gym has so much to offer. With hockey to soccer to lacrosse and to whatever else there is, it's just such a wonderful place that can fit anyone's needs. All of the equipment is spectacular and very brand new as well. I never feel as if I can't trust anything. I really like the all around mirror room as well. I was a dancer back in the day and so sometimes I like to go in there and take myself back :) I also love how nice and generous everyone is as soon as I walk in. It's a wonderful feeling knowing the staff truly care about you vs passing you by as just some regular person on the street. Jack City Fitness has changed my life in the most positive ways and I have and will keep recommending this gym to anyone who asks me about it. Thank you JCF and I look forward to continuing my journey...

Response to your comment -
As much as I enjoyed going to jack city fitness it just wasnât right for me it was more of a CrossFit gym. Hence the reason I canceled, however when you say, âHey Ian, we canceled your account exactly as you requested within our 21 day window.â If that were true I wouldnât be leaving a review đ¤Śââď¸
Now to say âIn fact, we have the easiest termination policy for a gym that I've ever heard of, with NO contracts, NO fees, or NO in person meetings required, it doesn't get any easier than that :)!â That just isnât true. When I finished my workout I went to the front desk and asked to cancel my membership. I was told it was canceled. I had people with me there. Couple months later I found that I was still getting charge so I called to ask why and was told my account was never canceled. When I got into contact with the manager I was told the reason for my account never being canceled was that I never filled out a survey.. I was never shown a survey while I was there nor emailed one. I've never had to fill out a required survey to cancel a membership.
The reason Iâm giving you guys a 1 star was because when I was trying to figure out if there was anything I could do about this the manager was extremely rude and disrespectful. It also took me a long time to get into contact with anyone that was able to help even though I was told a couple hours to a day. I was told the guy that I talked to was a new hire by one of your other employees which is why he didnât know how to cancel but because you guys didnât have a refund policy I wasnât eligible for a refund. Iâve been to a few gyms and Iâve never had to deal with anything like this even though Iâm paying less than 1/5 of what I paid you.
If youâd like I could contact the people that were with me and they can leave a review of what...
