I have only been to the Cheesecake Factory a handful of times and today was probably the worst experience from start to finish. I did make a reservation online for 6 people which is the max amount of people. We did end up having another person join which I didn't think was a big deal. We checked in with the 2 hosts working. I informed them that we had an additional guest. Dude made an issue about our 7th guest and had to get authorization for it. Bahaha are you serious? How do you cater for large groups if you make such a big deal about it. Nothing was communicated to us whether a party of 7 is doable on a slow Wednesday night. Thank you kind host for making my party feel like a burden for adding another guest.
Tenisha served us today. To be frank, she was slow. Slow at getting to us to greet us. Slow to grab drink orders. Slow to grab dinner orders. Tenisha was so busy that she didn't check up on us once to see how dinner was going. Refills would have been nice but not an option tonight. We were basically given what we had and that was it. No water, no soda refills. The only time she really interacted was passing of the bills and passing out birthday ice cream. We also had to flag her down for boxes. Instead of asking if everyone got their bills taken care of, she reprinted bills. We all worked in the service industry Ms. Tenisha. We are not going to skip on a 30 dollar tab. Tenisha probably should get retrained on proper customer service. What a shame we had to deal with this kind of service tonight.
For dinner my friend and I shared a few appetizers. Fried zucchini, maple brussel sprouts, fried calamari and crab won tons. The brussel sprouts were on point. They were crispy, sweet and savory! Plenty on sauce to cover all the sprouts. The fried zucchini were crunchy and savory. They were huge pieces and so tasty! The calamari was salted perfectly. Add some fresh lemon juice and it was delightful! The crab won tons were ok. They lacked flavor. I washed all this goodness down with a pineapple cherry limeade mocktail! Very very delicious!
Honestly, you can get fried zucchini, calamari, brussel sprouts at a lot of joints in town. It's common appetizers! But people will come back for basic appetizers when the service and atmosphere is stellar! Too bad from the minute I walked in dealing with rude hosts and received service from someone who gave 0 F*cks about your table, I will say I would recommend spending your hard earned money at a restaurant that would appreciate their guests and business. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is for the food. Customer service is a flat 0 for me. Servers want that 20% but don't do a lick of...
Read moreWhere do I start!? We came in at 5pm. We had a reservation planned for a birthday at 5:30 because we had a larger party. We called this in and they said that would be fine over the phone! So we get there and suddenly they don't take reservations for more than 6 people? What kind of restaurant only takes reservations for 6 or less? Shouldn’t they take them for 6 or more instead!? Shows how bad the management is here. Then we were informed we were going to be placed in the walk-in line. We waited for 2 hours to be seated. Then, once we got seated, we didn’t get our orders taken for a half hour. Then we waited another hour to get our food.
By the time we were done, we were there for 4.5 hours!!! We complained obviously, and they hardly gave any credits to us, we all had to specifically ask to have a discount or something because they were not going to give us anything even after complaining.
Here’s a list of bad experiences had, just tonight. Rude hostesses, eye rolling, mocking us after walking away. Excessive long wait even though we had called for reservations and they were the ones who said that would be fine. Waited to place our food order for 30 minutes. When we wanted to complain to a manager, the waitress got an attitude and hardly spoke a word to us the rest of the night. THEIR CHEESECAKE ISN'T EVEN READY HERE. Hardly gave us a discount for our awful experience. Nickel and dime for everything here, they don’t even put cheese on burgers unless you ask? A kid meal is like 10 dollars.
I mean everything about this place is going to put them out of business. It’s the freaking Cheesecake Factory and they said they didn’t have any cheesecake ready to be eaten. I mean I typed this whole review faster than it took them to bring drinks to our table.
My advice: Literally go anywhere else. The staff was rude, the managers didn’t make it right for our friend’s daughter for her birthday, and essentially ruined her night because we spent a total of 5 hours at this terrible excuse for a restaurant when she could have been doing literally anything else. If you want to waste 5 hours of your life getting bad service, rude staff, and mediocre food that is WAY overpriced, this is your spot. I have never spent that long in a single restaurant in my entire life. This place should be embarrassed and ashamed of how they treat customers. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY AT THIS RESTAURANT! I’m serious that I would rather eat at McDonald’s every day for a week straight than eat a...
Read moreMy husband and I went here for the very first time. It was around 6 p.m., and they were pretty busy already. But they had quite the line of people standing at the dessert counter, so I'm assuming they were all there for takeout. We were told a 10 minute wait and ended up waiting about 20 minutes for a table. Our waitress was very friendly. Checked on us consistently and kept our waters filled, which is a huge plus for my husband because he's a big water drinker. The menu was overwhelming. There are so many options in that "book" that you almost don't know where to start. Especially if it's your first time being there. You don't know what's going to be good, and there's no pictures on the menu. For some, that may not be a big deal. For me, I'm a visual person, so I would like to at least see some pictures of the menu items to help me decide. If it looks visually pleasing, that may be something I'll order. We ordered the warm crab dip for the appetizer. It was absolutely amazing. The husband got green chile chicken enchiladas, and they were amazing. And I ordered the Chicken Madeira, and it was okay. On the menu, it's labeled as a customer favorite, and I wasn't impressed with it. Some of my potatoes were not cooked all the way through, so they were hard, and even though they were mashed, they still were quite chunky. The asparagus on it was not seasoned and not cooked long enough because it was still kind of raw and the chicken breast was a really great cut of chicken But I wasn't a huge fan of the mushroom sauce on it. It was flavorless, in my opinion. So I ended up eating half of my husband's dinner, and he ate half of mine even though he agreed with me on the way it tasted. He's just not the kind of person that will ever waste any food, no matter how terrible it is. And of course, you can't go to someplace called the Cheesecake Factory and not order cheesecake. Of course, there was an overabundance of options, so I just ordered an original slice, and it was really great. It tasted like it was more of homemade cheesecake and not a store bought one. Overall We had a great experience there. We only had one meal that wasn't the best. It's a relaxed environment, a very family, friendly place. Honestly, you could take the pickiest of eaters there, and I guarantee they would find something on that ginormous menu, lol. Most likely, we would eat here again the next time we're out in that area. (It's 2 hours...
