Need To Bead — Local services in Garden City

Need to Bead has always been the friendliest and most welcoming shop. I like to visit not just for the merchandise, but to browse, be inspired, and absorb some good vibes.

As wonderful as they always are, this review is about my recently inherited great-grandmother's pearl necklace, which came to me broken.

I looked around for jewelers who could repair it and was referred back to my favorite bead shop, Need to Bead. I was so excited, a local shop just down the road, who have always been great to me?! How could this get better?! Don't worry, it did.

The owner Sabra personally took care of me. She was communicative, kind, and so understanding.

I am mind blown by the work she did on the pearls. Not only did she do a complicated restring perfectly, they came back polished and gorgeous. I had no idea they would look like this. I immediately sent photos to my mom and aunts and we were literally all in tears.

To expensive!! And the selection is just okay! She is asking .15 cents for 1 beadcap.. Thats gets expensive when you need more than 1. She doesn't seem to have much knowledge about a few things around there. Like the name of the bead cap with the loop at the top, and knowledge of WHAT BOOKS SHE HAS IN HER STORE THAT ARE FOR SALE AND HOW MUCH THEY ARE BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT MARKED. She even had a display sitting the wrong way on the stand. She had the price tag in the back of the display so you had to pick up the display and turn it around so you could see the price tag AND IT WAS WAY TO...

I brought my mother and daughter yesterday to check out the place for the first time. My daughter has been really into beading lately and I thought she would be able to find something she likes. Well, almost an hour later I walked out of the store with two very happy people lol. My mother enjoyed chatting with the owner (?) and my picky picky picky daughter was very impressed with the inventory and purchased great pieces and I absolutely loved the prices 😀 can't wait to bring...
