What happened to normal, human interactions? What happened to making an order, pulling up to the window and an employee greets you, says they are gathering the order and will be right with me? What happened to saying hello! What happened to saying thank you for your business?! Well this Del Taco is at the bottom of the barrel with service. I pull up to the intercom, wait for nearly a minute and am greeted with "How can I help you?". Not "Hello! Welcome to Del Taco! Can I take your order?"
So I say "Hello, i have an online order for Christine."
Another pause of nearly a minute. No thank you, we have that order. All I get was "Pull around."
So I pull to the window, expecting the 10 minutes I gave them after ordering to be there to pick it up, nope. Another 5 minutes and not one employee opens the windo to greet me. Not a hello. Not a how are you. Nothing but a middle aged employee standing in the window making every attempt to avoid eye contact. Only when my order is finally complete, they open the window and the first pleasantly of "have a good night" is uttered. Still no thank you, or any form of gratitude for my business.
These people make comparative salaries to paramedics and they don't even have the common decency to engage whatsoever with their customers. Not going back to this location, which is literally across the street from my house. I would rather drive past this place to find an alternative....
Read moreOrdered from my favorite Del Taco on Franklin through Door dash. It was a COMPLETE debacle. Please understand, this was no fault of Del Taco. Door Dash took over an hour to make a delivery less than a mile away. Then after several calls, apparently found my house. I didn't know this because they left the order at my door without knocking. It's like ten degrees outside. I open the door to go outside to see if I can find this dude. Low and behold, my food is sitting at my doorstep. Ice cold. No knock. No acknowledgement. Nothing. Of course, I contact door dash. They offer to refund me 8.00 on a 30 dollar order. 'Well, that's just not a good investment strategy'. Still need to feed the family. Pack'em into the car. Head to Del Taco on Franklin. Get to the window. Tell the lovely young lady at the drive thru what happened, she offers to speak to the manager Robert. Robert offered to replace my order even though they had no fault in the issue.
It was ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING in today's climate to see that some people still value a paying customer and want to do what's right. Robert replaced our meal at no cost to us. Kudos to Robert, and his drive thru colleague (I'm sorry I didn't get your name), for taking care of a customer....
Read moreI looooove Del Taco food!! BUT their wait time, even through the drive-through, is excessive. I ordered at 8:47pm, and that's after waiting at the intercom for about 4 minutes, it is now 9:01 and the ONE truck in front of me just left. There are about 2 individual groups of ppl in the dining area and im still waitin at 9:05. Thing is, I frequent this Del Taco and service has always been this slow, but today is excessive. I'm a fairly patient person and at 9:07 I will walk in and request a refund. That will make it a 20 min. Wait at the drive thru, but now waiting in parking lot. One minute left................................UPDATE:3 years later! Still haven't returned to Del Taco. I walked in to speak to a manager- yes, I did that- They had part of my order sitting on the side. They still had to make another portion and it was obvious someone forgot about the order. I wanted my money back, but that became extremely difficult for some reason. I said never-mind give me my receipt and the food- went home, it was cold and they forgot to add the avocado. I wrote an email to corporate and they responded with a $10 certificate to give them another chance. It expired and I never used it, but at-least they did try to...
